Newcastle, WY
Contracted
Weston County Manor
Mid Level
Embark on a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, and bring compassionate, hands-on support to residents who rely on skilled care to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life. This travel opportunity places you in Newcastle, Wyoming, a town steeped in western character, open skies, and close-knit neighborhoods, where your presence makes a lasting difference in day-to-day routines and comfort. The assignment begins on 03/31/2026 and is measured in weeks with a guaranteed minimum of 36.0 hours per week, offering stability within a flexible schedule that respects your need for balance and exploration. In addition to competitive weekly pay in a range of $1,622 to $1,712, you’ll gain access to benefits designed to reward your expertise and elevate your professional trajectory. This is more than a job—it's a pathway to grow, mentor, and expand your impact across diverse care teams and settings.
Location Benefits: Working in Newcastle places you in a community known for its friendliness, outdoor access, and steady pace that supports meaningful patient relationships. You’ll enjoy the opportunities that come from serving a rural population with varied needs, from chronic disease management to rehabilitation support, all delivered with the respect that long-term care residents deserve. And because this is a travel assignment, you’ll also have the possibility to work in different locations across the United States, enriching your clinical repertoire and cultural understanding while maintaining the security of a uniform benefits package, 24/7 support, and a predictable schedule. Wyoming’s natural beauty—open plains, the nearby Black Hills, the Bighorn National Forest, and scenic byways—offers you weekend escapes and outdoor adventures that replenish your energy after focused clinical days. You’ll be close to seasonal activities, serene landscapes, and a sense of spaciousness that enhances patient care through calm, patient-centered presence.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As the LPN on shift, you’ll perform comprehensive basic nursing tasks under the supervision of an RN and in collaboration with the broader clinical team. Responsibilities include medication administration within scope, routine assessments, monitoring vital signs, wound care and dressing changes, intake and output tracking, and assisting with activities of daily living to preserve residents’ independence. You’ll contribute to care planning, document changes accurately in electronic health records, and support restorative programs that promote mobility, nutrition, and social engagement. Your professional growth is supported through exposure to multiple facilities and care models, enabling you to refine assessment skills, expand knowledge of geriatric pharmacology, and deepen competencies in chronic disease management, pain control, and end-of-life comfort care. In addition to the rewarding clinical work, you’ll receive a competitive compensation package that includes a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation logistics, with extensions and renewals encouraged as you demonstrate clinical excellence and adaptability. Our program is designed around continuous support: a dedicated 24/7 assistance team is available while you travel, along with on-site supervisors, clinical educators, and a local point of contact that helps you navigate schedules, credentialing, and facility-specific protocols. You’ll benefit from a structured orientation, ongoing mentoring, and access to continuing education opportunities to help you pursue specialty certifications in long-term care and geriatrics, should you choose to advance your career further within our network. The emphasis is on safety, dignity, teamwork, and a culture that values your voice, your ideas, and your commitment to compassionate care. It’s a place where every shift reinforces the purpose behind your nursing license, and every new assignment broadens your clinical perspective and your confidence as a caregiver.
