Powerback - Hammonds Lane Center - R11A94
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as an Occupational Therapist Travel Specialist in Maryland and Brooklyn, where your clinical expertise translates into meaningful independence and participation for patients across diverse settings. From pediatric clinics to adult neuro rehab, from community outpatient programs to skilled nursing environments, your hands-on care will restore function and confidence, while you inspire colleagues and families with compassionate, evidence-based practice. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape futures, grow your clinical repertoire, and celebrate the joy of progress in places known for their scenery, history, and vibrant communities. Maryland beckons with sunlit shores along the Chesapeake, rolling hills of the Blue Ridge, charming harbor towns, and the maritime rhythm of Baltimore and Annapolis. Brooklyn pulses with a mosaic of neighborhoods, waterfront parks, street art, world cuisine, and a resilient, supportive professional network. Together, these locations offer a tapestry of experiences—mouthwatering seafood, seasonal fairs, scenic drives, and the chance to unwind after a productive day in a city that never stops learning and healing.

As a Travel Occupational Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to work in Maryland or Brooklyn, with the flexibility to travel to other locations across the U.S. This arrangement broadens your professional horizon, enriches your clinical toolkit, and builds a versatile resume that demonstrates adaptability, leadership, and a proven ability to drive patient-centered outcomes in varied teams and settings. Each assignment is designed to be immersive yet supportive, ensuring you feel connected whether you’re in a bustling urban hospital system, a community clinic, or a specialty rehabilitation facility. The experience you gain travels with you, shaping your career while you deliver high-quality care to diverse populations.

Role specifics are designed to leverage your OT expertise and accelerate growth. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify motor, cognitive, perceptual, sensory, and functional limitations, then translate findings into evidence-based, goals-driven treatment plans. Your days will include therapeutic interventions to restore mobility, dexterity, and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). You’ll coach patients and families on self-management strategies, provide caregiver training, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize discharge planning and community reintegration. Documentation is precise and timely, aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. You’ll adapt interventions for neuro, orthopedic, pediatric, or geriatric needs, while expanding your professional scope through ongoing education, mentorship, and opportunities to specialize in areas such as hand therapy, pediatrics, neurology, or cognitive rehabilitation. The role also invites leadership from day one—sharing best practices, contributing to program development, and helping shape a patient-centered care culture.

Benefits that set you up for success include competitive compensation and robust support. Expect a weekly pay range of $1,910 to $2,012, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week, and a contract designed to support extension opportunities if you choose to stay longer. You’ll receive housing assistance to ease transitions between assignments and locations, plus the potential for a sign-on or completion bonus to recognize your commitment. We understand the realities of travel, so you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated team, ensuring assistance is available whenever you need it—whether you’re navigating new facilities, coordinating with families, or troubleshooting clinical logistics. Our programs are built to acknowledge and reward your expertise while reducing administrative burden so you can focus on what you do best—delivering exceptional patient care.

Company values center on empowerment, growth, and a genuinely supportive work environment. We are committed to your professional advancement, offering structured onboarding, ongoing learning opportunities, and mentorship that respects your experience while inviting you to discover new dimensions of OT practice. Our culture champions collaboration, transparency, and respect for work-life harmony, acknowledging that your well-being translates into better patient outcomes and more fulfilling careers. You’ll join a community that celebrates diverse talents, prioritizes safety and ethical practice, and stands ready to back your ambitions with resources and encouragement.
