Mid Level
Take your career to the next level as a Travel Radiology Special Procedures Tech, delivering lifesaving imaging and guiding complex interventions across dynamic clinical settings. In this travel role, you’ll apply meticulous technique, decisive judgment, and compassionate patient care to interventional radiology procedures that directly influence treatment outcomes. From vascular access and catheter navigation to real-time image guidance, you’ll be at the center of high-stakes care, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure precise, safe, and efficient procedures. Your impact will be felt in every patient story you touch, every room you help optimize, and every protocol you help refine. Separately, the beauty of Hawaii—lush green peaks, pristine beaches, and a vibrant island culture—offers a backdrop of natural wonder and relaxation that complements a demanding professional journey.

Based in Hilo, Hawaii, you’ll enjoy a unique blend of serene coastal living and access to island adventures while you keep your clinical edge. Working here provides the chance to immerse yourself in a tight-knit community that values collaboration and patient-centered care, with opportunities to extend your assignments to other U.S. locations as part of a broader travel program. Across assignments, you’ll gain exposure to varied hospitals, patient populations, and imaging equipment—opportunities that sharpen your technique, expand your professional network, and deepen your understanding of complex procedures in diverse settings. The role also offers the flexibility to participate in different facilities and regions within the U.S., enriching your resume and broadening your clinical perspective while you maintain a robust travel schedule and fresh professional challenges.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing and supporting interventional radiology procedures within established protocols: vascular and non-vascular interventions under physician guidance, sterile field maintenance, patient positioning, monitoring, and assisting with contrast administration, all while ensuring optimal image quality on fluoroscopy and radiographic systems. You’ll participate in equipment checks, QA activities, and documentation, while upholding safety standards and radiation protection principles. The role provides clear pathways for growth within the Special Procedures discipline, including cross-training opportunities, certification support, and mentorship that helps you broaden your scope and leadership capacity. The package recognizes your expertise with competitive weekly pay in the $1,911–$1,999 range, a potential bonus tied to program criteria or performance, and housing assistance to help you settle comfortably at the start of each assignment. Additionally, you’ll benefit from extension opportunities that let you continue advancing your expertise with familiar teams and facilities. Comprehensive support is provided 24/7 while traveling with the company, including access to a dedicated clinical liaison, credentialing assistance, and round‑the‑clock help to address scheduling or logistics concerns, ensuring you stay focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Our partner organization is built on empowering its staff: prioritizing career progression, recognizing expertise, and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment where curiosity and patient care come first. You’ll have access to ongoing training, credentialing pathways, and a network of professionals who celebrate your successes and help you navigate challenges.
