Travel Radiology Special Procedures Tech Job
Aspen, CO
Contracted
Aspen Valley Hospital
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Radiology Special Procedures Tech, delivering high‑impact imaging support during interventional procedures. This travel assignment invites you to apply your precise technique, clinical judgment, and patient‑centered care to dynamic teams across settings, starting March 2, 2026, for a multi‑week assignment. Imagine the difference you’ll make—guiding complex procedures with confidence, optimizing image quality, and elevating safety standards, all while expanding your expertise in a specialty that blends anatomy, physics, and compassionate medicine. And when you’re off shift, Colorado reveals its awe‑inspiring scenery: Aspen’s snow‑capped peaks, world‑class slopes, and vibrant cultural scenes; easy access to the Maroon Bells, the Crystal River Valley, and outdoor adventures that define a year‑round playground. The state’s dramatic landscapes invite outdoor exploration after each shift, adding a sense of balance to a demanding career.
Beyond Aspen, the program may offer opportunities to work at additional locations across the U.S., letting you experience varied hospitals, patient populations, and clinical protocols. Colorado’s own accessible mountain towns provide rugged outdoor thrills, while the broader U.S. network opens doors to new colleagues, technologies, and professional relationships that accelerate your growth.
Your responsibilities include performing radiologic procedures under sterile conditions, operating advanced interventional imaging systems, ensuring radiation safety, calibrating equipment, and adjusting imaging parameters to optimize visualization during angiography, catheter placements, biopsies, and other procedures. You’ll position patients, monitor vital signs, assist physicians, manage contrast administration, and document protocols and outcomes. You’ll collaborate with technologists, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless procedures, quality control, and patient comfort. The role offers strong professional growth: you’ll gain hands‑on experience with a broad range of interventional techniques, learn cutting‑edge imaging workflows, and expand your leadership potential through credentialing support and cross‑department exposure. In return for your expertise, you’ll receive competitive compensation including a weekly pay range of $2,216‑$2,431, a sign‑on bonus, and housing assistance. The program supports extensions or renewals, enabling you to deepen your impact with continuity where you’ve built rapport and proficiency. Comprehensive support is a hallmark: 24/7 assistance from the travel program, field staff ready to help on any day, remote clinical leads, and a streamlined onboarding experience that keeps you focused on patient care rather than logistics.
Our partner company is committed to empowering its staff, offering transparent career pathways, ongoing education, and a respectful, inclusive work environment where curiosity and collaboration are valued. You’ll find peer‑level mentorship, structured performance feedback, and opportunities to advance into senior technologist roles or leadership tracks as your skills mature. The culture is built on reliability, integrity, and patient‑centered excellence, ensuring you feel valued and supported every step of the way.
