This role provides opportunities to serve across multiple Texas communities and, periodically, other regional facilities, enriching your professional exposure while maintaining predictable 36 guaranteed hours per week. You’ll opt for assignments aligned with your clinical interests—from acute care to outpatient rehabilitation to skilled nursing—while benefiting from streamlined travel logistics, paid housing options, and a welcoming onboarding process. The arrangement supports work–life harmony, minimizing downtime so you can recharge and return with renewed focus between assignments.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Speech Language Pathologist on this travel assignment, your core responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations of articulation, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing; diagnosing communication disorders and establishing precise, measurable goals; designing and implementing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans; delivering direct therapy and coaching for patients and caregivers; monitoring progress, adjusting interventions, and documenting outcomes in the electronic medical record; collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, educators, and families to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions; participating in case conferences and discharge planning; and providing guidance to support staff when applicable. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth through diverse caseloads, exposure to varied clinical settings, mentorship, and pathways to advanced certifications and leadership roles. Benefits include a competitive weekly pay range of $2,052-$2,189, plus a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and potential extension opportunities beyond the initial assignment. Comprehensive support is embedded in your experience, with 24/7 assistance from our travel team, rapid access to clinical and operational resources, and proactive travel coordination to minimize delays. You’ll operate within facilities that emphasize best practices, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and compassionate care, while enjoying ongoing education stipends and opportunities to participate in cross-site case reviews and peer learning communities. The role also stresses caregiver education, culturally competent care, and transparent communication to empower families and maximize long-term outcomes. A proactive clinician will appreciate the emphasis on professional autonomy balanced with a structured support network designed to help you thrive on the road.
