Central Vermont Medical Center - Berlin, VT
Mid Level
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg Tele in Berlin, Vermont. This multi-week assignment invites you to apply your expert bedside care, telemetry proficiency, and critical thinking to support adult patients across medical-surgical units who rely on vigilant monitoring and compassionate, evidence-based nursing. Imagine the impact you can make by partnering with a team that values your clinical judgment, your calm presence under pressure, and your commitment to patient advocacy and quality outcomes. Beyond the professional fulfilment, you’ll be surrounded by the natural beauty of Vermont—from the Green Mountains to winding lanes and vibrant seasonal vistas—that softens long shifts and inspires your care. The start date for this opportunity is 03/05/2026, and the duration is described as weeks with the potential for extension depending on unit needs and your performance. This role is designed for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments, collaborate across disciplines, and seek meaningful growth within the Med Surg Tele specialty.
Berlin, Vermont, offers a warm, community-focused setting with access to outdoor recreation, scenic drives, and the chance to experience a quintessential New England environment. You’ll be part of a nurse-friendly market where patient-centered care, teamwork, and innovation come together to create positive outcomes. In addition, our nationwide network opens doors to temporary placements across diverse locations in the United States, allowing you to broaden your clinical exposure while keeping the robust support you expect from a dedicated travel partner. While you’ll enjoy the tranquility and charm of Vermont, you’ll also have opportunities to travel to other communities—urban medical centers, suburban campuses, and rural hospitals—depending on your interests and assignment needs. Vermont’s fall foliage, winter sports, spring thaws, and summer festivals provide a rejuvenating backdrop to demanding shifts and long days, making every rotation a unique learning experience.
In this Med Surg Tele RN role, you will manage a spectrum of adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring, ensuring timely assessment, frequent vitals, and rapid response to evolving clinical situations. Responsibilities include comprehensive physical assessments, medication administration, IV therapy management, wound and drain care, EKG rhythm interpretation, and escalation of care when needed. You’ll coordinate with physicians, case management, social work, and ancillary teams to optimize care plans, discharge readiness, and post-hospital pathways. You’ll educate patients and families, reinforce safety protocols (fall prevention, infection control, venous thromboembolism prophylaxis), and participate in care transition planning. The role supports professional growth through exposure to telemetry protocols, advanced monitoring technologies, and evidence-based med-surg pathways, with mentorship opportunities from experienced nurses. Our compensation package features a competitive weekly pay range of $2,012 to $2,211, a sign-on bonus, and housing assistance designed to ease transitions to new locations. You’ll also have the option for contract extensions, allowing sustained development within the Med Surg Tele discipline and the chance to build a portfolio of diverse clinical experiences. We provide 24/7 support while you travel, including help with credentialing, housing logistics, clinical questions, and urgent staffing needs, so you can focus on delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Additional benefits may include overtime eligibility, retirement plan options, and access to continuing education resources to support your licensure and clinical competencies. Note that while the assignment is described in terms of a calendar duration, actual hours and shifts are scheduled to align with unit needs and your availability, offering flexibility where possible. Guaranteed Hours: 0.0.
Our company is built on empowering its staff to grow, lead, and contribute to better patient outcomes. We prioritize clear communication, ongoing professional development, and a supportive work environment that recognizes your expertise and dedication.
