As an LPN in Long-Term Care on this travel assignment, you will:
- Administer prescribed medications and provide routine nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to physician orders.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, perform vital signs, assess changes, document findings, and report concerns promptly using the electronic medical record and established escalation pathways.
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort, while promoting independence, dignity, and respect for residents’ preferences.
- Provide basic wound care, skin assessments, edema management, routine dressing changes, and support with catheter or ostomy needs as allowed by licensure and state regulations.
- Collaborate in care planning, participate in rounds, and communicate with families to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
- Support infection prevention, fall prevention, safe handling of residents and equipment, and adherence to safety protocols and quality metrics.
