Travel Registered Nurse LTC Supervisor Job
Waterloo, NY

Huntington Living Center
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal role as a Travel Registered Nurse, LTC Supervisor, guiding compassionate long-term care across premier facilities in New York, with a starting opportunity on 02/10/2026. Picture yourself at the helm of clinical excellence, translating best practices into daily resident care, mentoring nursing teams, and shaping individualized care plans that elevate quality of life for seniors. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to lead with empathy, implement robust clinical standards, and leave a lasting imprint on the communities you serve. New York’s landscapes invite both work and wonder: from the serene shores of the Finger Lakes and the sweeping beauty of the Hudson Valley to the historic streets of upstate towns and the vibrant energy of city neighborhoods nearby. Waterloo, NY offers a welcoming base with close-knit community ties, easy access to outdoor recreation, and opportunities to unwind in scenic spots between shifts. Together, these settings provide a compelling backdrop for meaningful work that nourishes both professional growth and personal discovery.
In this role, you’ll enjoy the flexibility and breadth of working in Waterloo and additional locations within New York, with the option to expand your horizons to other communities across the United States. You’ll lead nursing operations in long-term care facilities, supervising and mentoring licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, while partnering with physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrators to ensure seamless resident care. Your responsibilities include overseeing admission assessments, developing and updating comprehensive care plans, coordinating medication administration and MAR accuracy, monitoring clinical indicators, and driving infection prevention and control initiatives. You’ll conduct regular rounds, identify laceration, wound, pain and delirium management needs, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes. A core part of your role is cultivating a positive, compliant culture—coaching staff on documentation accuracy, regulatory standards, and best practices for safety, fall prevention, and palliative care. You will evaluate staffing needs, support onboarding and continuing education, and lead quality improvement projects to optimize resident experience and regulatory readiness. The position emphasizes professional growth within the LTC specialty, offering opportunities to expand your leadership credentials while refining hands-on clinical expertise in diverse care settings.
The benefits package is designed to be competitive and comprehensive. You will receive weekly pay in the range of $697 to $745, reflecting the value of your experience and the responsibilities you’ll undertake. In addition to competitive compensation, the program includes housing assistance to ease transitions between assignments and reduce living-related stress. There are opportunities for contract extensions, enabling you to deepen your impact in facilities you’ve come to know and trust while continuing to broaden your clinical leadership repertoire. Acknowledging the realities of travel nursing, we provide robust support, including 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignment. You’ll have access to a nationwide support network that handles logistics, scheduling, credentialing, and on-the-ground backup so you can focus on delivering exceptional care. It’s a travel nursing model built around stability, connection, and professional continuity, with expansion possibilities to keep your skills fresh and suited to evolving standards in long-term care.
Our company values the people behind the scrubs. We are committed to empowering our staff—investing in career advancement, leadership development, and a supportive work environment where you can thrive.
