South Burlington, VT
Contracted
Vermont Flex
Mid Level
Seize the opportunity to serve as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, where steady hands, steady hearts, and expert care translate into brighter days for residents and families. In this role, you’ll partner with interprofessional teams to support daily living activities, manage medications, monitor health changes, and champion dignity in every interaction. Your hands, your voice, and your clinical judgment will help residents maintain independence and well-being in a compassionate, respectful environment. Vermont’s South Burlington setting provides a welcoming backdrop for meaningful work and personal balance. The state’s natural beauty—from the Green Mountains to Lake Champlain’s shimmering shores—adds inspiration to every shift and offers opportunities for exploration during time off.

South Burlington offers easy access to Burlington’s vibrant cultural scene, shopping, and dining, with parks, bike paths, and waterfront trails at your doorstep. You’ll be part of a community that values quality care, ongoing learning, and work-life balance, with amenities and services that support you as you care for residents. For those who crave variety, the role also presents opportunities to support assignments in other locations across the United States, broadening your professional network and exposing you to diverse care settings, from urban centers to serene rural facilities. With a robust local health ecosystem and proximity to major hospitals, you’ll have ready access to mentorship, resources, and best practices to elevate your skills. The combination of a serene Vermont setting with the chance to explore different facilities nationally makes this role uniquely rewarding for travel-minded clinicians who want depth and breadth in their career.

Key responsibilities include administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, updating care plans, documenting changes, monitoring vital signs, preventing infections, and collaborating with nurses, therapists, and social workers to meet each resident’s goals. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for residents in long-term care settings, emphasizing safety, comfort, and quality of life. Growth opportunities abound: pursue specialty certifications, take on mentorship or lead roles within units, and participate in quality-improvement initiatives that shape care standards. The position offers competitive benefits, including a sign-on bonus where applicable, housing assistance to ease relocation, and opportunities to extend your contract to continue making an impact. Enjoy the confidence that comes with 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team—whether you’re acclimating to a new facility or navigating a complex clinical scenario, help is available around the clock. For this assignment, the weekly pay range is $1,949 to $2,056, and you’ll have guaranteed 40 hours per week. Start date is 01/20/2026, with an initial contract described in weeks and with extension opportunities depending on need and performance. Please note that all hours and pay figures are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

Our company is rooted in empowering staff, fostering clear paths for career advancement, and cultivating a supportive, inclusive work environment. You’ll find peers who value your expertise, leaders who invest in your professional growth, and a culture that celebrates compassionate, person-centered care. Whether you’re improving outcomes through evidence-based practice or mentoring new nurses, you’ll be part of a community that recognizes and rewards your contributions. We are committed to providing resources, development opportunities, and a collaborative atmosphere where your voice matters and your career can flourish.
