This role places you at the pivotal transition point between acute care and recovery, where your skilled assessments, timely interventions, and patient education can change outcomes. You’ll coordinate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to optimize stabilizing care, manage hemodynamics, monitor telemetry, and guide families through treatment plans. Your expertise in cardiac and respiratory monitoring, IV therapies, pain control, and safe discharge planning will empower patients toward independence and renewed well-being. As you apply your clinical judgment to escalating situations and smooth handoffs, you’ll also grow professionally in a high-acuity, collaborative setting. All the while, Georgia’s beauty beckons—Atlanta’s vibrant neighborhoods, world-class dining and arts, and easy day trips to the Blue Ridge foothills. The state’s temperate climate invites outdoor exploration after shifts, and our program offers you the option to work in additional locations across the U.S., broadening your experiences while keeping you connected to a supportive network at home base.

Location benefits are rooted in the Atlanta metro’s leading medical centers, advanced technology, and robust continuing education opportunities. The area combines metropolitan energy with Southern hospitality, offering affordable living options, abundant cultural and recreational options, and a welcoming community that values your professional contributions and well-being.

Role specifics and benefits: In PCU, you’ll care for adults transitioning from higher acuity to stabilization and discharge readiness. This role provides a clear pathway for growth within progressive care, including opportunities to assume charge nurse responsibilities, mentor peers, and pursue specialty certifications in cardiology, pulmonary, or perioperative care. Our compensation package is competitive and designed to recognize your expertise. You’ll have access to a sign-on bonus where applicable, housing assistance to ease relocation, and potential extension opportunities based on unit needs and your performance. Scheduling emphasizes consistency and predictability to support work-life balance while delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
