In this role you’ll be the steady, compassionate presence that supports residents through daily routines, chronic condition management, and the pursuit of comfort and independence in their golden years. You’ll collaborate with families, unit teams, and physicians to craft care plans that honor each person’s preferences, dignity, and safety. Every shift is a chance to witness small moments of improvement become meaningful days for residents who rely on your skill and empathy. This is more than a job—it’s a commitment to elevating the standard of care in a setting that blends stability with opportunity. And as you explore Vermont, you’ll discover the state’s natural beauty—from the rolling farmland to the vibrant fall colors and charming towns—that can enrich your days outside the unit.
Brattleboro’s welcoming community supports your professional growth while offering easy access to outdoor recreation, farm-to-table dining, and cultural events. The role also provides the flexibility of travel assignments across multiple locations in the U.S., opening doors to varied facilities, patient populations, and care models. Our travel program emphasizes consistent quality experiences, predictable scheduling, and the balance you need to thrive in long-term care. You’ll enjoy the chance to immerse yourself in Vermont’s friendly communities while keeping horizons broad through nationwide opportunities that align with your career goals.
Your responsibilities include administering medications and treatments per plan of care, monitoring vital signs, performing assessments, assisting residents with activities of daily living, wound care, mobility support, and fall prevention. You’ll document changes, communicate with families, participate in care planning meetings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes. In this specialty, you’ll grow professionally as you learn to implement evidence-based interventions, mentor new staff, and contribute to quality improvement projects that enhance resident safety and satisfaction. To support you, we offer competitive benefits, including a sign-on bonus, comprehensive housing assistance, and the possibility to extend your assignment beyond the initial term. The program provides guaranteed hours—40 per week—so you can plan with confidence, and competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,888 to $1,985. You’ll have access to 24/7 support from dedicated travel coordinators and clinical teams, ensuring you’re never alone when you’re on the road or at a partner facility. Start date is 12/16/2025, and the assignment runs for a duration of several weeks with an option to extend, depending on facility needs and your performance.
