Role Specifics and Benefits:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile, functional, and readily available for the team.
- Assist surgeons and circulating staff by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, handling implants, and anticipating needs during complex cases.
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot surgical devices, light sources, suction, and camera systems; monitor equipment for performance and safety throughout procedures.
- Verify patient information, specimen labeling, and documentation; uphold patient safety protocols, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
- Assist with patient positioning, transportation within the facility, and turnover between cases to maximize surgical efficiency.
- Participate in post‑operative cleanup, room restocking, and inventory management to ensure readiness for subsequent procedures.
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to optimize workflow, communication, and outcomes.
