Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Amsterdam, NY
Contracted
St. Mary's Healthcare - Davin
Mid Level
Step into the fast-paced world of Emergency Room nursing as a Registered Nurse, specializing in ER care, with exciting opportunities in New York and Amsterdam, NY. This is your invitation to bring urgent, compassionate care to patients in moments that define lives, while cultivating your clinical mastery in one of the most dynamic fields in healthcare. In the ER, every assessment, every intervention, and every collaborative decision matters—your expertise will help stabilize patients, calm distressed families, and guide complex cases toward the best possible outcomes. Beyond the adrenaline of critical care, you’ll have the chance to explore the distinctive character of upstate New York: the rugged beauty of the Adirondacks, the sweeping vistas of the Hudson Valley, and the historic charm of canal towns like Amsterdam. These settings offer more than a place to work; they provide a backdrop for renewal, mentorship, and a richer professional story as you serve diverse communities across the region.

Location Benefits: Working in New York and Amsterdam provides a unique blend of urban energy and small-town warmth. In larger metropolitan EDs you’ll experience high-volume acuity, complex trauma cases, and multidisciplinary teamwork that hones rapid decision-making and leadership skills. In Amsterdam, you’ll contribute to community-focused care with close-knit teams and abundant opportunities to mentor and be mentored by seasoned ER clinicians. The chance to rotate or extend to other locations within the U.S. opens doors to broaden your clinical horizons, encounter varied patient populations, and gain exposure to different hospital cultures, all while maintaining a supportive framework. You’ll enjoy access to local amenities, cultural events, and outdoor adventures that make after-shift life as rewarding as the shifts themselves. Whether you crave the bustle of city emergency departments or the character and pace of regional hospitals, this role aligns with your ambition to deliver high-quality care in ways that fit your preferences and lifestyle.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Role responsibilities and growth: As an ER RN, you’ll perform rapid triage, initial assessment, and stabilization of patients presenting with a wide spectrum of emergencies. You’ll administer medications, initiate life-saving protocols, assist with urgent procedures, and collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate efficient patient throughput. You’ll document care meticulously, advocate for patient safety, and participate in ongoing education that expands trauma, airway management, overdose treatment, stroke care, and pediatric emergency nursing capabilities. The environment is designed to accelerate professional growth, with structured pathways for certification, leadership opportunities, and the chance to mentor less-experienced nurses as you demonstrate clinical excellence and compassionate communication.
- Benefits you can expect: The role features competitive weekly pay ranging from $2,219 to $2,384, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week to provide stability amid clinically demanding schedules. You’ll be eligible for a generous sign-on bonus and a comprehensive housing assistance program designed to ease relocation and lodging during assignments. Extension opportunities are common, offering a clear path to longer placements or additional shifts consistent with your career goals. In addition, a robust benefits package and per diem allowances may be available to further enhance your compensation and work-life balance.
- Support and stability: You won’t navigate the road alone. The company provides 24/7 travel support dedicated to traveling nurses, including credentialing assistance, travel arrangements, housing coordination, and on-call case management to resolve issues quickly. You’ll have access to a national network of clinical leaders, peer support, and resources designed to ensure you feel connected, prepared, and confident as you move between assignments across locations.

Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering clinicians to advance their careers while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. We foster a supportive, inclusive work environment where your voice is heard, your professional development is prioritized, and your well-being is integral to the mission. We invest in ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities that elevate your practice and broaden your influence within the ER team. By embracing collaboration, transparency, and patient-centered excellence, we create a culture where nurses thrive, teams function cohesively, and communities receive the highest standard of emergency care.

Call to Action: If you’re a dedicated ER RN ready to elevate your practice, seize this opportunity to join a mission-driven company that values your expertise, supports your growth, and stands beside you as you shape the future of emergency care.
