Travel Radiology Cath Lab Tech Job
Pocatello, ID
Contracted
Ardent Health Services Portneuf Medical Center
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal Radiology role as a Cath Lab Tech on our dynamic travel program, delivering interventional imaging excellence in Idaho’s Pocatello and beyond. This opportunity places you at the heart of life-saving procedures, where precise imaging, steady hands, and calm leadership under pressure guide physicians through complex coronary and vascular interventions. Your expertise will help illuminate intricate anatomy, optimize patient care, and support rapid recovery. As a traveling Cath Lab Tech, you’ll collaborate with cardiology specialists, anesthesia teams, nurses, and technologists across diverse settings, expanding your clinical repertoire while making a meaningful difference in real time. Beyond the work, Idaho offers a rich tapestry of natural beauty and welcoming communities—from pine-dotted foothills and rolling river valleys to scenic byways and charming downtowns—giving you space to recharge between cases. The assignment begins on 01/12/2026 and runs for a number of weeks, providing a structured path to sharpen your interventional radiology acumen while adapting to new teams and environments.
Idaho’s Southeast region around Pocatello blends a close-knit community feel with wide-open possibilities. You’ll enjoy affordable living, access to excellent outdoor recreation, and a vibrant regional culture that values healthcare workers. The city’s growing medical network means you’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues and gain exposure to a broad spectrum of cath lab cases. For those who crave variety, the travel option opens doors to assignments in different hospital systems across the U.S., allowing you to experience urban centers, rural facilities, and coastal clinics while maintaining your core specialty. The scenery is a constant gift—sunlit mornings along scenic river corridors, summer hikes in nearby mountain ranges, and winter opportunities for snow sports. Time off can be spent exploring museums, farmers markets, and local dining, all while knowing you have the support of a nationwide program including 24/7 help desk, travel coordinators, and clinical mentors ready to assist you.
Your primary responsibilities as a Cath Lab Tech include operating and maintaining imaging equipment during interventional procedures, producing high-quality fluoroscopic images, and ensuring patient safety through meticulous sterile technique and radiation protection practices. You’ll assist interventional cardiologists and radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as catheterizations, stent placements, and other catheter-based therapies, while monitoring patient status and adjusting protocols as needed. You’ll help prep, position, and transport patients, manage documentation, and participate in rapid response activities when emergencies arise. Growth opportunities abound: expand your expertise in complex neurovascular, peripheral, or structural heart procedures, pursue advanced imaging credentials, and potentially take on lead tech responsibilities as teams rotate through high-volume labs. You’ll enjoy competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $2,291-$2,435 and a bonus program designed to reward consistency and excellence. Additional benefits include housing assistance and the option to extend assignments, enabling you to build continuity with teams you respect. Our program emphasizes flexible scheduling where possible, so you can balance patient care with personal time. A robust support network backs you 24/7 while you travel with the company, including travel coordinators, credentialing specialists, on-call clinical liaisons, and a dedicated clinical supervisor to troubleshoot any challenge, large or small. You’ll also receive comprehensive orientation and step-by-step onboarding to ensure you arrive ready to contribute from day one.
At the core, the company is committed to empowering staff through clear pathways for career advancement, ongoing education, and a culture that values curiosity, integrity, and teamwork. You’ll find mentorship programs, access to continuing education, and a community of colleagues who celebrate patient outcomes, technical mastery, and professional resilience. Our promise is to create a supportive environment where your skills are recognized, your ideas matter, and your personal well-being is prioritized as much as your professional growth.
