Oakland, CA
Contracted
Powerback - Contract - Bellaken Garden -R05A87
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Speech Language Pathologist traveling clinician in California’s Oakland area, where your clinical expertise will illuminate the paths of clients across diverse settings. This opportunity blends clinical autonomy with collaborative care, empowering you to diagnose, treat, and advocate for communication and swallowing health in children and adults. You’ll design targeted therapy plans, track progress with data-driven insights, and partner with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to unlock meaningful communication milestones. Beyond the immediate impact on individual lives, you’ll help shape meaningful outcomes in schools, clinics, and hospitals, contributing to a wider community of care. And as you pursue professional excellence, you’ll also have the chance to explore California’s remarkable landscapes: redwood groves and rugged coastlines, the cultural tapestry of the Bay Area, Napa Valley’s vineyards, and Lake Tahoe’s alpine beauty—all within a state renowned for innovation and opportunity.

Location benefits can be uniquely compelling in Oakland and throughout California. Oakland serves as a vibrant nexus of healthcare, education, and community services, offering convenient access to metropolitan resources while enjoying the region’s welcoming neighborhoods and coastal charm. The Bay Area fosters collaboration with leading pediatric and medical teams, opportunities to observe and apply cutting-edge treatment approaches, and exposure to a wide spectrum of clinical presentations. If you’re drawn to geographic variety, this role also offers the chance to work in different locations across the United States, expanding your professional network, broadening your clinical repertoire, and enabling you to experience a range of settings—from urban hospital floors to community clinics and school-based programs. In between assignments, you’ll benefit from California’s temperate climate and a lifestyle that emphasizes wellness, outdoor recreation, and a rich array of cultural experiences.

Role specifics and benefits are designed to elevate your practice and support your well-being. As a traveling Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll assume key responsibilities that align with best-practice standards. Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, resonance, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments; interpret results and establish evidence-based, individualized treatment plans; implement therapy across a spectrum of ages and etiologies; monitor progress and adjust plans to maximize outcomes; document precisely in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements. You’ll coordinate with families, caregivers, teachers, physicians, and other members of the care team to ensure consistent, goal-driven care, and you’ll educate caregivers on strategies to reinforce therapeutic gains at home and in daily life. The role invites ongoing professional growth through exposure to diverse populations, specialty opportunities in areas such as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), dysphagia management, aphasia therapy, and early language development. You’ll have access to continuing education, mentorship, and a collaborative environment that values curiosity and evidence-based practice.

Benefits are competitive and designed to support you as you travel and grow. In addition to a weekly pay range of $2,474–$2,623, the position offers potential bonuses, housing assistance, and extension opportunities to align with your long-term goals. You’ll enjoy comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignments. This means you can focus on delivering exceptional care while we handle logistics, housing, travel coordination, and on-site needs. The framework is built to provide stability and predictability for your schedule, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, so you can plan your days with confidence. Note that the hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

Company values center on empowering staff, fostering a culture of professional development, and cultivating a supportive work environment. Our organization is committed to your career advancement, providing pathways to deepen your clinical expertise, broaden your scope of practice, and assume leadership roles within collaborative care settings. You’ll join a team that respects your contributions, invests in your growth, and celebrates the impact you have on clients and families. With an emphasis on compassionate care, integrity, teamwork, and accountability, we strive to create an environment where every clinician can thrive personally and professionally.

If you’re motivated to shape communication and swallowing outcomes while exploring dynamic locations and expanding your clinical horizon, this is your invitation to join a company that values your expertise and dedication. Start date is February 23, 2026, with a flexible multi-week assignment designed to fit your availability and career objectives.
