Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Los Angeles, CA
Contracted
Adventist Health White Memorial - Westways
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This opening places you in the vibrant landscape of California, anchored in Los Angeles, with a start date of 03/16/2026 for a multi-week assignment that invites you to shape experiences for mothers and newborns at critical moments. As you rotate through diverse obstetric settings, you’ll pair clinical precision with compassionate bedside care, helping families welcome new life while expanding your own professional repertoire. This role is designed for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments, who listen deeply to patients’ needs, and who collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, supported deliveries. The work you do will ripple beyond the hospital walls, influencing outcomes, teaching families, and strengthening communities. And because you’ll travel, you’ll also gain exposure to a number of care models across the United States, enriching your perspective while maintaining a home base in California’s iconic coastline and bustling tech-and-arts corridor. If you’re ready to elevate your obstetric practice, contribute to a culture that prioritizes safety and empathy, and enjoy the personal growth that comes with travel nursing, this assignment offers a compelling pathway. This role recognizes your expertise, invites your leadership, and promises ongoing opportunities to extend your impact with new teams and new patients.
Los Angeles is more than a destination; it’s a professional ecosystem where obstetric care meets innovation. You’ll collaborate with skilled obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatal teams, and anesthesiology professionals in premier facilities known for high standards of care. The location blends urban sophistication with year-round natural beauty, giving you downtime to unwind on the Pacific coast, hike in nearby mountains, or explore cultural neighborhoods rich with cuisine and arts. The city’s diverse patient population provides meaningful exposure to a broad range of clinical scenarios, from routine labor management to high-risk pregnancies requiring rapid, coordinated responses. For those who crave variety, the program also offers opportunities to work in additional locations across the U.S., allowing you to diversify your experience—learning new protocols, mastering different electronic medical record systems, and building a versatile clinical toolkit that enhances your resume and professional credibility. With a strong support network and access to ongoing education, you can stay at the forefront of obstetric care while enjoying the benefits of living in a culturally vibrant, health-focused region.
As a Travel L&D RN, your core responsibilities will include monitoring labor progress, performing fetal surveillance, assisting vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and delivering comprehensive postpartum and lactation support. You’ll coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and nursing assistants to ensure timely interventions, patient safety, and compassionate communication with families. You will identify early warning signs, respond to emergencies, and participate in debriefs and quality improvement initiatives that advance practice. This role emphasizes growth: you’ll have access to advanced certifications, evidence-based practice, and mentorship across shifts and facilities, empowering you to broaden your obstetric skill set. In addition to clinical duties, you’ll be part of a culture that values professional development, teamwork, and patient-centered outcomes. The rewards are tangible: a competitive weekly pay range of 762 to 785, plus a signing or performance bonus, housing assistance or stipends to ease relocation, and structured opportunities to extend assignments with supportive onboarding. Our comprehensive package includes 24/7 travel support—around the clock access to experienced travel nursing specialists who help with scheduling, credentialing, and on-site logistics—so you can focus on clinical excellence. While guaranteed hours are not provided, you’ll be matched to shifts that fit the facility’s needs and your availability, giving you flexibility to plan your life while you work toward your goals. This combination of meaningful work, financial recognition, housing support, and robust support makes the travel experience both rewarding and sustainable.
