Beginning March 2, 2026, you’ll join a dedicated team that values clinical excellence, bedside presence, and a proactive approach to patient advocacy. This assignment offers the chance to impact adults transitioning from acute to stabilized status, balancing the precision of critical monitoring with the warmth of individualized education and support. As you deliver evidence-based care in the PCU, you’ll collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case managers to create cohesive care plans, anticipate changes in patient condition, and respond confidently to evolving needs. Your days will be spent ensuring safe transitions, timely interventions, and clear communication with patients and families—contributing to outcomes that matter and to a sense of purpose that sustains professional growth. In the heart of the Sonoran Desert, you’ll experience a setting that blends clinical rigor with vibrant outdoor and cultural experiences, making every shift a chance to recharge your commitment to high-quality care.
Arizona’s landscape and Tucson’s unique cityscape bring distinct advantages to your professional and personal life. Tucson offers a warm climate ideal for year-round activity, rich desert beauty—from Saguaro National Park to scenic mountain trails—and a welcoming community that appreciates the resilience and dedication of healthcare professionals. The region combines the convenience of a modern metropolitan environment with easy access to outdoor recreation, craft breweries, farm-to-table dining, and cultural events. Beyond Tucson, this opportunity also sits within a network that can place you in varied locations across the United States, providing exposure to diverse patient populations, hospital cultures, and clinical challenges. Role specifics and benefits are designed to recognize your expertise and fuel your professional trajectory. In PCU, you’ll manage a spectrum of adult patients requiring close monitoring, complex IV therapies, telemetry, hemodynamic assessment, and careful symptom management as they recover from step-down conditions. You’ll perform accurate assessments, interpret evolving data, administer medications safely, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to adjust care plans in real time. The position emphasizes professional growth through exposure to varied case mixes, evidence-based protocols, and opportunities to mentor newer staff and student nurses. The compensation package is designed to be competitive and rewarding, including a weekly pay range of $2,105 to $2,173, with a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours each week and the potential for contract extensions. In addition, you’ll benefit from a signing bonus where applicable, housing assistance to ease relocation and lodging logistics, and the flexibility that comes with a travel assignment. Our program provides extensive support for every traveler: 24/7 assistance from dedicated staff, a responsive help desk, and a streamlined process for coordinating shifts, accommodations, and travel needs, so you can focus on clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
