Ardent Health Services Lovelace Regional Hospital - Roswell
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) in Roswell, New Mexico, where every procedure is a chance to elevate patient care and advance your clinical mastery. This role places you at the heart of precision teamwork, where you will contribute to complex surgical cases, uphold the highest standards of sterile technique, and advocate for patients from the moment they enter the OR through post-anesthesia recovery. In this position, you’ll thrive in an environment that values careful preparation, meticulous instrument management, and decisive clinical judgment. Picture yourself collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams to optimize outcomes, reduce risk, and deliver outcomes that families will remember. While you practice in a community renowned for its warm hospitality and outdoor appeal, you’ll also gain exposure to a broad spectrum of surgeries, sharpening your versatility and confidence. And beyond the OR doors, New Mexico reveals its allures—vast skies, dramatic deserts, storied cultural landscapes, and accessible weekend adventures that enrich both personal well-being and professional resilience.
Working in Roswell offers a distinctive blend of small-town charm and professional opportunity. You’ll enjoy a welcoming medical ecosystem with modern facilities, where your expertise directly translates into smoother surgeries and enhanced patient recovery. The location rewards curiosity: you can explore the surrounding natural beauty, from desert vistas to nearby national parks, while maintaining a focus on skill refinement within a supportive surgical services team. For those who love variety, there are opportunities to work across diverse locations throughout the U.S., expanding your clinical lens and network while preserving the core values of safe, patient-centered care. This role is designed to deliver meaningful experiences—from routine to specialty cases—so you continually grow as a perioperative professional. The position aligns with a flexible travel-staff model, enabling you to immerse yourself in new settings while returning to a home base of professional confidence and camaraderie.
Role specifics and benefits are designed to empower you from Day One. As an OR RN, you will be integral in scrub and circulating duties: establishing and maintaining the sterile field, preparing and passing instruments, assisting with positioning and patient safety, performing instrument counts, and supporting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. You’ll manage documentation, assist with specimen handling, and coordinate with anesthesia and surgeons to anticipate needs, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure a seamless flow of cases. The role promises ongoing professional growth—opportunities to deepen expertise in subspecialties, robotics, neuro, cardiovascular, and trauma workflows—but always with a strong emphasis on core perioperative standards. Compensation is competitive and transparent, with weekly pay ranging from $1,917 to $1,968, accompanied by a bonus program, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions to align with your career goals. The position is contracted for a defined number of weeks, with no guaranteed minimum hours (guaranteed hours: 0.0), reflecting the dynamic nature of travel assignments. To support you beyond clinical responsibilities, you’ll have access to 24/7 support while traveling with the company, ensuring logistics, safety, and personal well-being are prioritized every step of the way. The package acknowledges the realities of travel nursing—round-the-clock coordination, streamlined housing options, and a structure that respects your time, preferences, and clinical aspirations.
Company values emphasize empowering staff, celebrating clinical excellence, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration. The organization is committed to your career advancement and to cultivating a work environment that is both professionally rigorous and personally sustainable. You’ll find mentorship, ongoing education credits, and constructive feedback aimed at elevating performance, unlocking leadership potential, and expanding your scope of practice. In this company, your contributions are recognized, and your voice matters in shaping the trajectory of perioperative care across diverse settings. The focus is on sustainable growth, supportive teamwork, and a human-centered approach to scheduling, workflow, and patient experiences.
If you’re ready to apply, this is your invitation to join a company that values your expertise, supports your ambitions, and stands beside you as you shape the future of perioperative care.
