Role specifics and benefits:
- Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to residents in long-term care, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring vitals and changes in condition, conducting head-to-toe assessments, wound care, and pain management. Update and implement care plans in collaboration with RNs and physicians; assist with activities of daily living; provide safety supervision, fall prevention, and rehabilitation support; document accurately in electronic health records; engage families with clear communication and compassionate education; support and supervise nursing assistants, promoting teamwork and a positive care environment; uphold infection control standards and regulatory compliance.
- Growth and development: This assignment is designed to deepen your geriatric nursing expertise within long-term care, offering pathways to specialty certification in areas such as wound care, dementia care, or palliative support.
