- Perform essential histology workflows: receive, log, and accession tissue specimens; oversee fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining to create high-quality slides suitable for pathologist review.
- Execute a range of staining techniques (H&E and special stains), optimize staining times, troubleshoot runs, and document results with precision in the LIS and lab notebooks.
- Conduct routine quality control and quality assurance checks; monitor instrument performance, maintain reagents, prepare controls, and report anomalies promptly.
