West Branch, MI
Contracted
MyMichigan Medical Center - West Branch
Mid Level
Step into the role of a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery and become a pivotal part of families’ most meaningful moments in Michigan’s tranquil West Branch. Beginning February 16, 2026, this enriching travel assignment invites you to bring expert care, calm confidence, and compassionate guidance to expectant mothers and their families for several weeks, with competitive weekly pay between $2,062 and $2,211. You’ll join a dedicated team that values your clinical expertise, your judgment under pressure, and your ability to provide comfort and education during one of life’s most transformative experiences. This opportunity also opens doors to broader experiences, from the beauty of Michigan’s natural landscapes to the chance to work across diverse sites nationwide. Beautiful places abound in Michigan: the shimmering Great Lakes, the wooded splendor of Huron National Forest nearby, the Au Sable River, and vibrant autumn colors that make every shift a reminder of why care matters in every season.

West Branch offers a welcoming, tight-knit community feel with access to outdoor recreation that refreshes the spirit after long shifts. You’ll enjoy safe neighborhoods, nearby lakes and trails, and a pace that allows you to connect deeply with patients while recharging with the serenity of northern Michigan. For travel professionals who crave new settings, our program also provides opportunities to work at partner facilities across the U.S., broadening your clinical exposure and expanding your professional network. While the Michigan home base is yours to cherish, you’ll have the flexibility to explore additional locations and experiences as you grow in your specialty.

In this L&D RN role, you’ll oversee and support labor and delivery units with responsibility, precision, and empathy. Core duties include continuous fetal monitoring, assessment of labor progress, and timely interventions in collaboration with obstetricians and neonatology teams. You’ll assist with deliveries, manage sterile technique and safety protocols, provide effective post-partum care, and support newborn stabilization and lactation counseling. Education for patients and families, pain management coordination, and meticulous documentation will be part of your daily practice. You’ll be encouraged to engage in evidence-based practice, participate in in-service trainings, and leverage opportunities for professional growth within Labor & Delivery.

We emphasize robust benefits that recognize your expertise and commitment. You’ll have access to a competitive compensation package with a potential completion bonus, housing assistance to ease transition into travel life, and the possibility to extend assignments for continued continuity of care and professional fulfillment. You’ll never travel alone: 24/7 support is available from our dedicated travel team, ensuring you have real-time assistance, resources, and guidance while you’re on assignment. You’ll also find comprehensive clinical support, including orientation, access to continuing education, and a pathway to further certification and specialty training as your career evolves.

Our program is grounded in values that empower you. We’re devoted to nurturing your professional development, offering mentorship from experienced leaders in obstetric care, and cultivating a supportive work environment that respects your voice, autonomy, and clinical judgment. We recognize the toll that demanding shifts can take and prioritize well-being, teamwork, and resources that let you excel at your craft while maintaining balance in your life. The emphasis is on career advancement through skill expansion, leadership opportunities, and a culture that celebrates you as a vital member of the care team.
