Mid Level
Step into a rewarding Travel RN role in Med Surg, where every shift brings meaningful patient impact and the chance to grow within a thriving healthcare network. Based in Lawton, Oklahoma, this opportunity is designed for skilled Registered Nurses who excel in fast-paced hospital floors, deliver compassionate care, and collaborate across disciplines to restore and maintain patient wellness. As you answer the call to service, you’ll also have the chance to explore the beauty of Oklahoma—from the rugged vistas of the nearby Wichita Mountains to the inviting hospitality of Lawton’s communities. Fort Sill’s storied grounds and outdoor adventures nearby invite you to balance demanding clinical work with restful moments of discovery, making this assignment as enriching outside the hospital as it is inside.

Working in Lawton places you in a family-friendly city with a welcoming vibe and a comparatively warm cost of living, while you also gain access to broader experiences across the U.S. through our network of locations. You’ll enjoy seamless support as you travel, including housing assistance and the flexibility to engage in contracts that align with your personal and professional goals. The opportunity to serve in diverse Med Surg environments across the country means you’ll encounter a broad range of clinical cases, broaden your skill set, and build a robust, transferable toolkit for your nursing career. If you’re drawn to Oklahoma’s clear skies and strong sense of community, this assignment offers the best of both worlds—a stable home base in Lawton with the chance to rotate to other rewarding settings as you expand your horizons.

As a Med Surg Travel RN, your responsibilities will center on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across medical-surgical units. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IV therapies, and respond adeptly to clinical changes. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and unit staff to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring smooth transitions from admission to discharge. You’ll document meticulously, educate patients and families, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize outcomes. The role also offers pathways for professional growth—pursue specialty certifications, assume charge or lead nurse roles, mentor new staff, and take on process improvement initiatives that elevate patient safety and care efficiency. In addition to daily clinical tasks, you’ll contribute to the unit’s culture of learning, resilience, and compassionate care, reinforcing your value as a trusted, capable nurse in a dynamic travel setting.

Our benefits package is designed to reward your expertise and support your journey. You’ll receive competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,607 to $1,660, with the opportunity for extension of the assignment based on unit needs and your performance. We recognize that housing costs can be a concern for travelers, so housing assistance helps you secure comfortable, convenient living arrangements near your assignment. We also offer the potential for bonuses, as well as flexible scheduling that respects your work-life balance while meeting patient care demands. While you travel with the company, you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated, responsive team ready to assist you with any needs—clinical or personal—so you can focus on delivering excellent care. And when the assignment ends, there are clear extension opportunities and pathways to continue growing within a supportive network that values your contributions and investment in continuing education and professional development.

Company values center on empowerment, mentorship, and a collaborative culture that places nurses at the heart of patient outcomes. You’ll be welcomed into an environment that prioritizes ongoing development, transparent communication, and opportunities to advance within the Med Surg specialty. Our approach combines clinical excellence with a supportive workplace, where experienced colleagues mentor newer staff, celebrate achievements, and share best practices to lift the entire team. This is more than a job—it's a community that respects your experience, nurtures your goals, and provides the resources you need to thrive on the road.
