Travel Radiology Mammography Job

Cumming, GA
Contracted
Northside Hospital - Forsyth
Mid Level
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Mammography Radiologist with our premier traveling healthcare program, delivering precise and compassionate breast imaging across diverse clinical settings. In this specialty, your expertise in screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, and biopsy guidance will empower women to take confident steps toward their health. You’ll contribute to early detection, accurate assessment, and personalized care plans, all while advancing your clinical leadership in a supportive, collaborative environment. The opportunity blends cutting-edge technology with a culture that honors precision, empathy, and professional growth. Set against the scenic backdrops of Georgia, you’ll find a state rich with natural beauty—from the misty Blue Ridge foothills to historic streets and vibrant city life—creating an inspiring place to live and work as you impact communities through life-changing imaging.

Georgia’s north Georgia location in particular offers a unique blend of outdoor adventures, friendly communities, and easy access to metro amenities. Cumming sits within reach of the Atlanta metropolitan area, allowing you the best of both intimate community imaging centers and broader professional exposure. In your downtime, you can explore the region’s hiking trails, fall foliage, charming small towns, and lakes that invite relaxation after a day in the scan room. For those who crave variety, the program provides opportunities to work in different locations across the U.S., broadening your experience with a spectrum of patient populations and practice styles while maintaining the stability of a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

The role’s core responsibilities center on delivering high-quality breast imaging and patient-centered care. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, including tomosynthesis, to assess breast anatomy and identify suspicious findings. You’ll guide stereotactic and ultrasound-assisted biopsies when indicated, ensuring precise localization and safe, accurate procedures. Maintaining strict image quality, positioning, compression, and breast density assessment are essential, as is adherence to radiation safety standards and quality assurance protocols. You’ll collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and referring physicians to develop cohesive care plans, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and review cases to ensure consistency with BI-RADS criteria. Your leadership will extend to mentoring technologists, contributing to imaging QA initiatives, and engaging in continuing education that keeps you at the forefront of breast imaging techniques and patient communication strategies. The assignment supports ongoing professional development, with opportunities to pursue subspecialty growth, participate in breast cancer screening initiatives, and contribute to program development at the imaging sites you serve.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you’ll receive competitive compensation and a robust benefits package designed to support you throughout the assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,054 to $2,228, reflecting your expertise and the scope of responsibility. The position includes a guaranteed 40.0 hours per week, ensuring financial stability and predictable scheduling. You’ll have access to housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing needs and a sign-on or performance-based bonus to recognize your contributions from day one. Extension opportunities are available, allowing you to extend your stay with the program if you enjoy the environment and the workplaces you encounter. A hallmark of the program is comprehensive support—24/7 assistance while you travel with the company—so you and your family feel secure wherever the assignment takes you. Your start date is 03/02/2026, and the initial assignment is described as lasting Weeks, with the potential for extension based on project needs and mutual alignment.

Beyond pay and scheduling, the program is anchored in values that empower staff, promote career advancement, and foster a genuinely supportive work environment. We invest in your professional trajectory, provide leadership opportunities within imaging departments, and encourage collaboration across specialties to optimize patient outcomes. You’ll operate within a culture that respects your expertise and recognizes your role as a keystone in early breast cancer detection, patient education, and compassionate care delivery. Our organizations commit to transparent communication, ongoing performance feedback, and a structure that supports work-life balance, personal growth, and a sense of belonging—even as you rotate through different sites and communities.

If you’re seeking a dynamic, meaningful radiology assignment that honors your skill set and elevates your career, this is your moment.
