Role Specifics and Benefits: As an OR Tech, you’ll be at the heart of the surgical team. Core responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating support, maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, assisting with draping, positioning patients, and conducting instrument counts with the surgical team to prevent retention or loss. You’ll help prepare and organize supplies, anticipate instrument needs, and support anesthesia teams and surgeons to promote efficient, safe, and accurate procedures. Your role will also involve documenting perioperative activities, coordinating with circulating nurses, and ensuring equipment integrity and readiness for next cases. This position offers a clear path for professional growth within the specialty, with opportunities to expand your technical repertoire, gain exposure to diverse procedures, and refine teamwork and communication skills essential to perioperative success.
