Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Honolulu, HI
Contracted
Kuakini Health System
Mid Level
Step into the fast-paced, life-changing world of emergency nursing in paradise—Honolulu, Hawaii—where your ER expertise meets a profound opportunity to shape patient outcomes in one of the nation’s most energetic medical environments. As a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Emergency Care, you will lead rapid assessments, initiate critical interventions, and coordinate care across teams to stabilize patients in crisis. This assignment begins on 01/19/2026 and is designed to honor your skillset, offering a reliable guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week and competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,795 to $1,940. The contract is structured for Weeks, with extension opportunities available to ensure continuity for you and your patients, and to foster ongoing growth within the ER specialty. Your impact will extend—from the first triage assessment through discharge planning—while you experience the unique rhythm of Hawaii’s emergency departments, where every shift presents a fresh challenge and a chance to refine your practice.
Beyond the walls of the hospital, Hawaii’s beauty enhances every moment of your journey. Work in a location defined by sunlit shores, turquoise waters, and lush landscapes that invite exploration during downtime. Picture mornings on a quiet beach before your shift, strolls through vibrant neighborhoods after a long night, and weekend adventures hiking volcanic landscapes or snorkeling with tropical marine life. If you’re drawn to variety, the program also offers opportunities to rotate across different sites within Hawaii and, when you’re ready, to expand your scope across the U.S.—gaining exposure to diverse patient populations, hospital protocols, and clinical challenges that sharpen your adaptive care skills. We recognize that personal well-being powers professional excellence, and the chance to balance demanding ER responsibilities with the serenity of Hawaii’s natural and cultural richness makes this a uniquely rewarding path.
In this role, you’ll own critical responsibilities that drive patient safety and outcomes. You’ll perform rapid assessments, initiate stabilizing interventions for trauma, chest pain, respiratory distress, sepsis, and other emergent conditions, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case management to move patients through the continuum of care. You’ll document with precision, advocate for evidence-based practices, and support families as they navigate the complexities of emergency care. You’ll have ongoing access to professional development within the ER specialty, including skills advancement, certification readiness, and opportunities to take on charge nurse responsibilities or lead quality improvement initiatives. The position also highlights tangible benefits designed to support you as a traveling professional: a sign-on bonus that recognizes your readiness to contribute from day one, housing assistance to ease transitions to new locations, and extension opportunities that allow you to grow within the same system or explore additional assignments. You’ll enjoy a robust benefits framework and the security of 24/7 support from a dedicated team that stands with you while you travel, from orientation through completion of your assignment and beyond.
Our commitment to you goes beyond clinical excellence. The company values empowerment, clear pathways for career advancement, and a supportive work environment where colleagues trust and learn from one another. You’ll find mentorship, resources for continuing education, and structured feedback that accelerates your growth as an ER professional. The travel experience is designed with your professional trajectory in mind: you’ll gain exposure to diverse patient populations, different hospital cultures, and advanced technologies—from electronic medical records to rapid response protocols—while maintaining your clinical autonomy and decision-making confidence. With a focus on resilience, teamwork, and patient-centered care, the organization fosters a culture where nurses are heard, valued, and equipped to rise to elevation in their careers.
If you’re ready to bring your ER expertise to Hawaii’s vibrant communities and, potentially, across the U.S., this is an extraordinary opportunity to do meaningful work, advance professionally, and enjoy the benefits of a supportive, growth-oriented travel role. We invite you to apply and join a company that celebrates your contributions and invests in your ongoing development. Ready to take the next step? Your future as an influential ER leader awaits, where every shift is a chance to save lives, nurture patients and families, and elevate your own professional journey. Please note: the hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
