Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Tuba City, AZ
Contracted
Tuba City Regional
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Traveling Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, delivering expert surgical care in Tuba City, Arizona, with opportunities that can extend to locations across the United States. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to touch lives at pivotal moments, shape outcomes alongside skilled colleagues, and bring comfort to patients and families when they need it most. As an OR RN, you will guide patients from preoperative briefing through instrument setup, anesthesia coordination, and meticulous intraoperative support, then help with postoperative recovery planning. Your mastery of sterile technique, patient positioning, instrumentation, and rapid problem solving will directly influence safety, efficiency, and the quality of the surgical experience. If you’re driven by precision, compassion, and continuous learning, this assignment offers a platform to elevate your clinical leadership while making a meaningful impact in diverse communities. In Arizona, you’ll experience a workforce culture that values resilience, empathy, and collaboration, where your expertise is respected and your professional voice is heard.
Arizona’s landscapes are as inspiring as the work you’ll do. Tuba City sits on the Colorado Plateau, surrounded by expansive skies and striking red rock vistas, a gateway to outdoor adventures, Navajo Nation heritage, and a welcoming community centered on service. The location offers a balanced rhythm of professional challenges and personal renewal, from serene mornings to awe‑inspiring sunsets. And for those craving variety, our program also opens doors to assignments in other communities across the U.S.—providing exposure to different OR teams, hospital systems, patient demographics, and surgical specialties. You’ll gain breadth in procedures and workflows, enhance adaptability, and build a versatile portfolio that strengthens your career trajectory while maintaining a grounded connection to the communities you serve.
In this role, you’ll own critical responsibilities that drive patient safety and surgical success. Daily duties include circulating and scrubbing on a broad range of procedures, maintaining a pristine sterile field, preparing and verifying instrumentation, assisting surgeons and anesthesia teams, securing patient positioning, coordinating supplies and equipment, and ensuring accurate case documentation and counts. You’ll partner with perioperative nurses, surgeons, and support staff to anticipate needs, troubleshoot equipment, and streamline turnover between cases. With exposure to diverse case mixes—general, orthopedic, ENT, gynecology, trauma, and more—you’ll expand your clinical repertoire and pursue targeted professional development through certifications, workshops, and mentorship programs. Our generous compensation package recognizes your expertise: a competitive weekly pay range of $2,339–$2,359, plus a bonus structure, housing assistance, and opportunities for contract extensions that allow you to continue making an impact in a familiar or new setting. You’ll also benefit from comprehensive support services, including 24/7 assistance from our travel program team, credentialing coordination, and on‑the‑ground resources designed to keep you safe, prepared, and confident wherever your assignments take you.
Our commitment to your growth extends beyond the operating room. The organization behind this opportunity is dedicated to empowering its staff with clear career pathways, ongoing mentorship, and a culture that values learning, collaboration, and work‑life balance. You’ll have access to structured onboarding, continuing education allowances, specialty certifications, and leadership development streams designed to elevate your role within perioperative services. A supportive environment means open channels for feedback, peer collaboration, and supervisors who partner with you to set goals, celebrate achievements, and navigate challenges. Whether you envision advancing to charge nurse roles, pursuing subspecialty expertise, or expanding into educational or operational leadership, this program is tailored to help you chart a meaningful, sustainable career path while delivering exceptional patient care.
