Contracted
Washington County Hospital and Clinics
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal ER nursing role and make a lasting impact where urgent care meets compassionate leadership. This travel ER assignment is designed for skilled Registered Nurses who thrive under pressure, excel in fast paced environments, and lead with clinical precision. Beginning February 14, 2026, you’ll embark on a multiweek journey with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a competitive weekly pay range of $1,864 to $2,030. You’ll apply advanced triage, rapid assessment, and decisive intervention skills to stabilize patients, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor newer staff while you grow within the ER specialty. This opportunity blends clinical autonomy with team collaboration, offering a powerful platform to refine critical decision making, expand procedural proficiency, and elevate patient outcomes in a welcoming travel setting.

Working in Iowa and Washington provides a diverse tapestry of experiences and lifestyle benefits. Iowa offers the warmth of community hospitals intertwined with vibrant city-accessible amenities, scenic river towns, and a calendar filled with local events that celebrate heritage and teamwork. Washington state presents a fusion of coastal charm, alpine adventures, and dynamic urban centers where technology, academia, and medicine intersect. Whether you’re in a rural critical access facility or a larger urban ED, you’ll find meaningful patient stories and opportunities to broaden your clinical horizons. Separately, you can enjoy the beautiful places these states offer: Iowa’s rolling farmland, rolling plains, and family-friendly parks invite reflection after demanding shifts, while Washington’s evergreen forests, dramatic Puget Sound shoreline, and mountain vistas provide restorative breaks and inspiring vistas between cases. The role also opens doors to working in varied locations across the U.S., enriching your professional portfolio with experience across diverse patient populations and health system cultures.

In this ER role, core responsibilities span rapid evaluation and stabilization of acutely ill or injured patients, initiating and managing life-saving interventions, performing focused assessments, and coordinating admissions or transfers with speed and accuracy. You’ll lead code and mass casualty responses when needed, perform necessary procedures within scope, and ensure accurate documentation, medication administration, and patient education. There is ample opportunity for professional growth within the ER specialty, including skill advancement in airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, trauma care, disaster response, and ultrasound-guided procedures. We emphasize comprehensive support to help you excel: competitive compensation with a potential sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and extension options to align with your career goals. You’ll have access to ongoing clinical education credits, mentorship from seasoned ER leaders, and a structured pathway for advancing your practice. A dedicated support network is available 24/7 while traveling with the company, ensuring you have reliable help whenever and wherever you work.

Our company values empower your professional journey and prioritize your wellbeing. We are committed to creating an environment where your clinical talents are recognized, your leadership potential is nurtured, and your work-life balance is respected.
