Mid Level
Step into a dynamic travel opportunity as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Missouri, specifically Columbia, where your clinical expertise will directly influence patient outcomes and elevate the standard of care across diverse acute and critical settings. This assignment is designed to empower you to deliver exceptional respiratory care while you expand your professional repertoire through exposure to a broad spectrum of cases, collaborative practice, and ongoing learning. You’ll begin on 03/15/2026 for several weeks, with potential for extension, allowing you to balance impactful work with a rewarding travel experience.
Columbia, Missouri offers a compelling blend of small-town charm and modern amenities. Beyond the hospital walls, you’ll enjoy a community known for its lively arts scene, welcoming neighborhoods, and excellent dining. For those who crave the outdoors, the region opens doors to scenic getaways, with easy access to the Missouri River, rolling hills, and nearby parks and trails that invite hiking, biking, and exploration. The state itself is rich with natural beauty, from the scenic Ozark landscapes to state parks that invite weekend adventures. Working here also provides the opportunity to be placed in other locations across the U.S. as part of our travel program, broadening your professional perspective while maintaining the stability of a trusted support network.
In this role, you’ll oversee comprehensive respiratory care for patients across a range of units, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans. You’ll assess patient status, initiate and adjust therapies, manage mechanical ventilation and weaning processes, administer aerosolized medications, provide chest physiotherapy, and perform arterial blood gas analyses and related pulmonary assessments. You’ll educate patients and families about treatment plans, wean patients when appropriate, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure continuity of care. Your responsibilities will extend to equipment management—troubleshooting ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, suctioning equipment, and other life-support systems—while ensuring strict adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Through continuous monitoring and documentation, you’ll influence outcomes and contribute to evidence-based practice. This role offers rich opportunities for professional growth, from mastering advanced ventilatory strategies to cross-training in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care or critical care pathways as needs arise. You’ll have access to ongoing learning, mentorship from seasoned clinicians, and opportunities to expand your scope within the specialty as you demonstrate excellence in care delivery.
Competitive benefits accompany your clinical impact. Expect competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,595 to $1,733, with the potential for a completion bonus and housing assistance to ease the transition to travel life. We offer extension opportunities to reward reliability and continued performance, enabling you to plan longer engagements and deepen your expertise across varied clinical environments. A robust 24/7 support system is in place to assist you whenever you travel with our company, ensuring you have immediate access to guidance, resources, and coordination for transportation, housing, and clinical questions. While this travel role provides dynamic, site-to-site experiences, your workload is structured to optimize patient care and maintain your professional well-being, with a clear path to growth within the respiratory therapy discipline.
Our company values your contribution and is devoted to empowering every clinician on your journey. We foster a culture of professional development, mentorship, and a supportive work environment where curiosity and collaboration are encouraged. You’ll be part of a community that prioritizes career advancement, recognizes your expertise, and invests in your ongoing success through educational resources, leadership opportunities, and transparent pathways to broader roles within the organization.
If you’re ready to leverage your RRT expertise in a vibrant Missouri community while exploring broader horizons across the U.S., this is your invitation to apply. Join a company that respects your clinical judgment, supports your ambitions, and stands by you as you deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
