In this PACU role, you’ll be responsible for: continuous monitoring of post‑anesthesia patients as they wake, ensuring airway patency and stability, adjusting analgesia and antiemetic plans, and recognizing and responding to complications; collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams to coordinate timely recovery milestones; documenting patient status and care plans clearly in records; facilitating safe discharges with appropriate instructions and referrals; leading or contributing to handoffs and debriefings to maintain continuity of care; and engaging in ongoing quality improvement initiatives that enhance recovery protocols and patient safety.
