Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Albuquerque, NM
Contracted
Genesis - West Region - Rhb Ctr of Albuquerq
Mid Level
Step into a vital role as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care and become a cornerstone of comfort, dignity, and daily meaningful impact for residents who rely on skilled, compassionate support. In this contract opportunity, you will partner with an interdisciplinary team to deliver hands-on nursing care, monitor residents’ conditions, administer medications per regulatory guidelines, manage routine treatments, assist with activities of daily living, and contribute to care plans that elevate quality of life. Your expertise will guide families with clarity and empathy, support resident independence, and foster a therapeutic environment where every small moment matters. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to influence the trajectory of long-term care, grow your gerontology practice, and witness the resilience and gratitude of the people you serve. In this state, you’ll also discover a landscape of beauty that complements your professional journey: sunlit deserts, the red rock silhouettes of nearby mesas, the Sandia Mountains standing watch over Albuquerque, and a vibrant blend of cultures and music that makes every day feel inspiring.
Albuquerque offers a compelling location for your next assignment. The city blends a dynamic healthcare ecosystem with rich cultural experiences, accessible outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community that appreciates dedicated caregiving. Enjoy mild winters, abundant sunshine, and a community-oriented atmosphere that makes clinicians feel at home while you advance your practice. Our travel program also provides the opportunity to work in various locations across the U.S., expanding your professional horizons while you maintain the stability of a guaranteed 36 hours per week and predictable scheduling. Whether you choose to deepen your experience within New Mexico’s senior care landscape or explore care settings in other regions, you’ll gain exposure to diverse facilities, patient populations, and care models that broaden your clinical edge and leadership potential.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for essential nursing duties within a long-term care environment, including medication administration, vitals monitoring, wound and skin care, preventative measures to reduce fall risk, assistance with activities of daily living, infection prevention, and documentation in electronic medical records. You’ll collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and care teams to identify evolving needs, implement care plans, and communicate with residents’ families with compassion and clarity. The position supports your professional growth through ongoing education, hands-on mentorship, and opportunities to specialize further in geriatric assessment, palliative care principles, and care coordination. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes a bonus program, housing assistance, and clear extension opportunities that empower you to plan a longer commitment if you wish. You will also be backed by comprehensive 24/7 support from our travel coordinators and clinical supervisors, ensuring you’re never navigating a complex case alone while you are on assignment.
Our company is rooted in empowering staff, shaping clear career pathways, and fostering a supportive, collaborative work culture. You’ll find a team ready to back your development with resources for continuing education, structured mentorship, and pathways to assume leadership roles as you gain experience in long-term care settings. We prioritize work-life balance, open communication, and a respectful environment where your contributions are acknowledged and valued. Our travel program is designed to minimize friction so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care while still enjoying the experiences and opportunities that travel affords. You’ll join colleagues who are committed to patient-centered care, professional excellence, and each other’s success, with processes in place to help you grow from day one.
