Travel Occupational Therapist Job

Cumming, GA
Contracted
Northside Hospital - Forsyth
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as an Occupational Therapist with our specialized travel program in Georgia, Cumming, where your clinical expertise meets opportunity to change lives one day at a time. This assignment is tailored for dedicated professionals who view therapy as a pathway to independence, participation, and improved quality of life. You’ll join a supportive team for a start date of 03/23/2026, with a contract measured in weeks and guaranteed 40 hours per week, allowing you to plan with confidence while you explore the region. Your compensation reflects the value you bring, with a weekly range of $1,883-$2,021, recognizing your skills, experience, and the essential role you play in patient recovery and everyday functioning. Beyond the numbers, you’ll gain the satisfaction of watching patients reclaim daily routines, return to school or work, and engage more fully in meaningful activities.

Georgia’s beauty and variety offer a compelling backdrop to your clinical practice. From the scenic Blue Ridge foothills and expansive forests to vibrant towns and welcoming communities, the state delivers a rich tapestry of experiences. Cumming itself provides a blend of Southern hospitality, modern amenities, and easy access to outdoor adventures, cultural events, and family-friendly recreation. The opportunity to work in this location also opens pathways to assignments across the United States, allowing you to broaden your clinical repertoire, encounter diverse patient populations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across settings—from acute care to community-based rehabilitation. Whether you stay in Georgia or explore additional locations, you’ll carry with you a wealth of professional growth and personal discovery.

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll be at the forefront of client-centered care. Responsibilities center on comprehensive assessments to identify functional limitations and participation barriers, followed by development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that promote independence in activities of daily living, productive work roles, education, leisure, and community participation. You’ll design and adapt therapeutic activities, recommend assistive devices, and modify environments to optimize safety and efficiency for clients of all ages. Documentation will capture goals, progress, and anticipated discharge plans, with ongoing re-evaluation to refine interventions. You’ll engage with families, caregivers, teachers, employers, and other health professionals to align expectations, coordinate services, and ensure seamless transitions from hospital or facility to home or community-based care. The role supports professional growth through exposure to a range of practice areas and patient populations, with opportunities to pursue additional certification or specialization and to contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives. The travel context also fosters resilience, adaptability, and a broader understanding of health systems and community resources.

Our benefits package is designed to recognize your expertise and provide practical support throughout your travel journey. In addition to competitive weekly pay, you may receive a welcome bonus and housing assistance to simplify relocation and housing logistics. Extension opportunities give you the chance to extend or rotate to new assignments that align with your long-term career goals. Comprehensive support is available around the clock—24/7 assistance to help with scheduling, housing, transportation, and any clinical questions that arise while you travel.
