Philadelphia, PA
Contracted
Hospital of University of Pennsylvania
Mid Level
Step into a rewarding role as a Pharmacy Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and become a vital link in the chain that delivers safe, effective medications to patients who rely on your precision and care. This travel‑ready opportunity is designed for qualified pharmacy technicians who excel in fast‑paced environments, maintain meticulous standards, and enjoy seeing the tangible impact of their work on real people. You’ll translate prescriptions, assist pharmacists with dispensing, verify orders for accuracy, and participate in efficient workflow that keeps clinics and hospitals running smoothly. Starting 01/05/2026, this assignment spans multiple weeks with the potential for extension, offering a robust guaranteed 40 hours per week and a competitive weekly pay range of $795–$847. This is more than a job; it’s a pathway to broaden your clinical exposure while supporting patients across diverse settings.

Philadelphia is a city of contrast—where historic neighborhoods and iconic cuisine meet leading healthcare institutions and cutting‑edge clinical programs. In Pennsylvania, you’ll discover scenic landscapes from the rolling farmlands of the Amish Country to the rugged beauty of the mountains and the tranquil shores along the Delaware River. The state’s rich cultural tapestry provides enriching experiences outside the pharmacy, from world‑class museums and galleries to outdoor adventures in nearby parks and trails. For those who crave variety, the program also offers opportunities to work in other U.S. locations, expanding your professional horizons while you enjoy the stability and resources of a national network. You’ll benefit from the chance to immerse yourself in different patient populations, as well as the chance to build a broad professional network within a supportive travel team.

In this role, you’ll own or assist with core responsibilities that keep medications safe and accessible. Key duties include accurately dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision, reconciling and auditing prescriptions, preparing sterile and non‑sterile compounded products in accordance with strict safety and quality standards, maintaining precise inventory and storage conditions, and communicating clearly with prescribers, nurses, and patients as part of a collaborative care team. You’ll help resolve dosage questions, verify patient information, update electronic health records, and participate in medication therapy reviews when appropriate. The position places a strong emphasis on professional growth: you’ll have opportunities to cross‑train in clinical pharmacology, sterile compounding, and specialized workflows, with potential pathways toward leadership roles as you gain experience and demonstrate reliability.

Beyond competitive compensation, the program includes a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support you while you travel. In addition to the guaranteed 40 hours weekly, you’ll receive a weekly pay rate within the stated range, and you may be eligible for a bonus recognizing your performance and commitment. Housing assistance is provided to ease relocation logistics, and extension opportunities allow you to continue your travel assignments with minimal transition time if you and the program team determine it’s the right fit. A dedicated support network is available around the clock—24/7—so you never face a challenge alone while traveling with us. From onboarding to daily operations and before, during, and after assignments, our travel coordinators, clinical leads, and support specialists are invested in your success and well‑being.
