In this role, you’ll own key responsibilities that form the backbone of safe, efficient surgical care. You’ll prepare the operating room to meet exacting standards, set up and organize implants and instruments, and ensure correct instrument counts before, during, and after procedures. You’ll anticipate needs, anticipate potential complications, and support the surgeon with smooth instrument transfers and timely readiness of supplies. You’ll maintain sterile technique, monitor the surgical environment for safety, assist with patient positioning and draping as directed, and help transport specimens and close out cases.
