Glover, VT
Contracted
Union House Nursing Home Inc
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in long-term care, delivering compassionate, expert care in the tranquil setting of Glover, Vermont. Beginning February 16, 2026, this multi-week assignment guarantees 40 hours per week and offers a clear path to deepen your LTC specialty while you touch the lives of residents and their families. You’ll lead clinical care, advocate for dignity, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote comfort, safety, and meaningful daily living. If you’re drawn to a setting where professional rigor meets a genuine sense of community, this is your moment to contribute and grow, with a program designed to honor your expertise and your aspirations.
Nestled in the Northeast Kingdom, Glover and the broader Vermont landscape showcase four-season beauty, outdoor recreation, and small-town warmth. From lush forested hills and maple-sweet air to nearby lakes and scenic byways, Vermont invites you to unwind after shifts with hikes, cycling routes, farmers markets, and local dining that celebrate farm-to-table freshness. This assignment also provides the flexibility to explore other locations across the country as your career evolves, offering the advantages of diverse settings, exposure to different care models, and the opportunity to find the environments that best fit your interests, all while returning to a welcoming home base in Vermont when you want it most.
As a long-term care RN, your days center on comprehensive patient assessment, timely medication administration, and the ongoing development of individualized care plans. You’ll monitor chronic conditions, implement wound and IV therapies when needed, manage pain, and coordinate with physical therapy, social work, and family members to align goals with residents’ values. Your leadership will guide unhurried rounds, fall-prevention strategies, and rehabilitation support that maximize independence and quality of life. The role includes opportunities for professional growth within the LTC specialty—advancing from bedside skills to quality improvement projects, mentorship roles, and collaborative program development. In addition to a competitive weekly pay range of $2,060–$2,084, the package features housing assistance and the potential for contract extension, so you can plan longer-term stays if you wish. A sign-on bonus may be available and there is the possibility of additional shift premiums or performance-based rewards. You’ll also benefit from robust support: 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, proactive nursing leadership, and a dedicated travel coordinator who helps with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing resources. Your schedule is built to respect your well-being, with guaranteed 40 hours per week, standard shifts, and predictable planning for your days off, ensuring you can balance professional dedication with personal renewal.
At the heart of our approach is empowering staff to grow, learn, and advance within a culture that values empathy, integrity, and teamwork. We invest in your career by offering continuous education opportunities, access to mentorship from seasoned LTC professionals, and a transparent path to greater responsibilities. Our support network—clinical leads, travel specialists, and peer peers—creates a safer, more collaborative work environment where your voice informs practice and your development shapes the future of elder care.
