Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health / Psychiatric in Clifton Springs, New York. This is more than a job—it's a mission to empower patients at their most vulnerable moments, guiding recovery, resilience, and dignity with evidence-based care and compassionate presence. In this role you will blend clinical precision with empathetic support, forming trust with individuals navigating anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use challenges. You will join a dedicated interprofessional team that values your insights and champions your professional growth. And when you need a breath of inspiration, you can explore the beauty of New York—from the tranquil shores of Canandaigua Lake and the scenic Finger Lakes region to the cultural offerings and urban rhythm of nearby Rochester and Syracuse. The state’s natural splendor—from rolling hills and fall colors to summer fairs and waterfronts—offers restorative moments after meaningful, impact-driven days at work.

Clifton Springs sits in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes country, offering a welcoming, community-focused environment with access to remarkable natural beauty and a high quality of life. This location combines the comforts of a close-knit village with the opportunity to explore a broader regional tapestry, including outdoor recreation on lakes, hiking trails, and parks, along with access to hospitals and specialty clinics within a reasonable commute. The role itself centers on specialized behavioral health care. As a Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN, you will assess patients, monitor acuity, implement individualized treatment plans, and administer medications within scope, all while ensuring safety and compassionate engagement. You’ll participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation, collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and families, and contribute to rounds and care coordination. You’ll educate patients and families about coping strategies, medications, and discharge planning, and you’ll help maintain a therapeutic milieu that supports recovery and resilience. This position offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth—training in trauma-informed care, evidence-based behavioral interventions, pharmacologic updates, and interdisciplinary leadership—so you can expand your clinical repertoire while advancing toward greater responsibilities.

What sets this assignment apart are the comprehensive benefits and support structures designed for traveling nurses. You’ll enjoy competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,816 to $1,956, with a transparent compensation approach based on hours worked. A welcome bonus and ongoing incentive opportunities recognize your commitment, while housing assistance helps ease the transition to a new city. The contract terms offer extension possibilities, so strong performance can lead to longer engagements and continued growth with the same trusted team. Even as you travel, you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated company team, ready to assist with scheduling, resources, and on-the-ground guidance to ensure your experience is seamless and professional.

The company you’ll join is grounded in empowering its staff. You’ll find a culture that emphasizes mentorship, continuous learning, and clear pathways for career advancement within behavioral health specialties. A supportive work environment, regular collaboration, and recognition of your contributions create a foundation where clinical excellence and personal well-being go hand in hand. You’ll be part of a mission-driven network that values your voice, respects your expertise, and partners with you to reach your long-term goals.
