Travel Registered Nurse Electrophysiology Job

Rochester, NY
Contracted
URMC Strong Memorial Hospital
Mid Level
Step boldly into the dynamic world of electrophysiology nursing in the heart of Rochester, New York. As a Registered Nurse specializing in EP, you’ll partner with cardiology and electrophysiology teams to support complex rhythm management, device programming, ablation planning, and patient-centered care that can dramatically improve quality of life. This role is designed for clinicians who thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace continuous learning, and are driven by the tangible impact their expertise has on patients and families. Picture yourself contributing to intricate diagnostic studies, assisting with device interrogations, coordinating pre- and post-procedure care, and guiding patients through high-stakes decisions with empathy, clarity, and scientific acumen. Your hands-on skills will be complemented by an environment that values curiosity, precision, and teamwork, where every shift reinforces how essential EP care is to cardiovascular health.

Rochester stands out as a vibrant hub for healthcare innovation and culture. Beyond the hospital walls, you can savor the beauty of upstate New York—the rolling landscapes of the Finger Lakes region bursting with fall colors, the scenic beauty of Lake Ontario, and the tranquil parks that invite outdoor exploration after a rewarding day at work. The city’s diverse cuisine, museums, and live performances enrich your life outside the clinic, while its strong academic medical footprint provides colleagues and resources that elevate your practice. And for those who love exploring, the opportunity to work in multiple locations across the U.S. can broaden your professional horizons, exposing you to diverse patient populations, equipment, and clinical protocols that strengthen your EP expertise and resilience.

In this role, you’ll own key responsibilities that drive patient safety and care excellence. You’ll participate in or support electrophysiology studies, assist during procedures, monitor rhythm disturbances, assess device function, and contribute to device reprogramming and optimization under physician direction. You’ll educate patients and families about arrhythmia management, post-procedure expectations, and lifestyle impacts, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every step. The position offers clear pathways for professional growth: pursue advanced certification, gain exposure to cutting-edge EP technologies, cross-train with seasoned EP nurses and technicians, and assume greater leadership within the clinical team as you demonstrate clinical judgment and collaboration. Our benefits are designed to recognize your expertise and dedication, including a competitive compensation package with a weekly pay rate ranging from $2,223 to $2,280, plus attractive bonus opportunities, housing assistance, and the potential for extension on subsequent contracts. You’ll benefit from comprehensive support that extends far beyond the bedside, including 24/7 assistance from our traveling support team, ensuring you’re never alone on assignment and that help is a phone call away wherever your EP travels take you.

Our company is built on values that empower you to grow while feeling supported every step of the way. We’re committed to your career advancement, offering structured opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues who champion your successes. A collaborative, respectful environment anchors daily work, emphasizing open communication, ethical practice, patient advocacy, and a shared mission to improve cardiovascular outcomes. We understand that travel nursing can be both exciting and demanding, so we provide a robust framework of resources, from onboarding that sets you up for confidence on day one to ongoing clinical coaching and administrative support that lets you focus on patient care and clinical excellence. The aim is not only to fill a job but to invest in your long-term growth as a nursing professional.

If you’re ready to join a company that values your EP expertise and is dedicated to advancing your clinical skills in a supportive, resource-rich setting, this is your moment. The opportunity starts February 16, 2026, for weeks-long assignments in Rochester, New York, with the possibility of expanding to other locations across the United States. You’ll be part of a team that honors your knowledge, rewards your commitment, and stands beside you with comprehensive, round-the-clock support as you travel and grow.
