Plumas District Hospital
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative travel assignment as a Registered Nurse in the OR, stationed in Quincy, California, where your precision, leadership, and compassion will directly influence patient outcomes in fast-paced surgical environments. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape care pathways, mentor less experienced teammates, and elevate your expertise within a specialty that blends critical thinking with delicate teamwork. Picture yourself supporting cutting-edge procedures, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and delivering safe, patient-centered care before, during, and after every operation. The opportunity to work in this serene Northern California setting pairs professional impact with the chance to recharge in a landscape of towering pines, tranquil lakes, and scenic byways. California’s vast beauty—from the Sierra Nevadas to cozy towns and coastal escapes—provides inspiration after shifts and motivation for the next day in the OR. In this role, you’ll expand your skills while contributing to a community that values excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care.

Working in Quincy offers a unique blend of small-town warmth and access to extraordinary outdoor experiences. You’ll enjoy a supportive, close-knit clinical team and the chance to optimize patient outcomes in a high-stakes environment. In this OR RN role, you’ll bring critical responsibilities to life: serving as a circulating nurse and, where appropriate, scrub nurse, ensuring sterile technique and instrument integrity, and supporting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. Your day may include patient positioning, anesthesia handoffs, tracking implants and supplies, performing accurate instrument counts, and documenting perioperative care with keen attention to safety and quality. You’ll collaborate with surgeons, assistants, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff to anticipate needs, mitigate risks, and optimize turnover without compromising patient safety. This position fosters professional growth through exposure to a broad range of procedures and specialties—from general surgery to orthopedics and beyond—while you strengthen leadership, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making under pressure. You’ll be supported by a competitive compensation package, including a weekly pay range of 2,504 to 2,626 dollars and guaranteed 40 hours per week, with potential for extension based on facility needs and your performance. In addition, you’ll receive housing assistance to ease transition, and a bonus structure designed to recognize your expertise and reliability. We also offer extension opportunities that let you deepen your experience in the OR and build lasting relationships with mentors and peers who share your commitment to excellence. Throughout your journey, you’ll have access to robust support services, including 24/7 assistance from our travel team as you navigate assignments, logistics, and any on-site challenges that arise. This comprehensive framework is designed to help you focus on patient care while we handle the rest.

The company values your contributions by empowering you to advance your career in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. We prioritize your professional development through dedicated onboarding, ongoing education opportunities, and clear pathways to expanded responsibilities. You’ll join a culture that champions collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement, ensuring you feel valued, heard, and equipped to take the next steps in your nursing journey. Our leadership is committed to creating a workplace where your expertise translates into tangible impact for patients, teams, and communities, and where your personal well-being remains a top priority as you travel and grow.
