- Operate multidetector CT scanners, calibrate protocols, and perform a full spectrum of imaging studies with a focus on dose optimization and image quality that meets radiologist specifications.
- Position patients, select appropriate contrast administration strategies, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Implement standardized protocols, perform quality control, maintain sterile technique, and document findings accurately in the patient record.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and referrers to ensure seamless workflow, timely turnover, and clear communication of imaging goals and results.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, with opportunities to advance in CT angiography, 3D post-processing, and other emerging imaging modalities, while contributing to educational efforts for colleagues and students.
