As you lend your expertise to telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and coordinated care, you’ll gain exposure to diverse patient populations, cutting-edge technology, and a network of like-minded colleagues dedicated to excellence. Kansas itself invites exploration beyond the hospital walls, offering wide-open skies, tranquil plains, charming small towns, and easy access to the energy of nearby Kansas City, making weekend getaways or family adventures both convenient and rewarding.
Location benefits: Olathe, a thriving community just outside the heart of Kansas City, blends a welcoming neighborhood feel with access to top-tier healthcare facilities, parks, cultural events, and excellent dining. It’s a place where professional growth and everyday life harmonize, providing you with supportive colleagues and a stable base from which to explore assignments across the United States. As a travel RN, you’ll also enjoy the unique advantage of deploying to varied locations nationwide, expanding your clinical repertoire, encountering different patient demographics, and experiencing a spectrum of hospital cultures and technologies. Each assignment enhances your telemetry acumen, strengthens your leadership capabilities, and broadens your clinical perspective, all while you continue to serve patients with empathy and expertise.
Role specifics and benefits: In this Telemetry RN role, you’ll oversee acutely ill and post-surgical patients requiring continuous rhythm and rate monitoring, interpret ECGs, and respond promptly to telemetry alarms. You’ll participate in comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications per orders, initiate and adjust care plans in collaboration with physicians, and communicate clearly with families about treatment progress. You’ll coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care, contribute to discharge planning, and document precisely to support continuity and quality metrics. The position offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth within the specialty, including pathways to Telemetry Certification, cross-training in adjacent units, and potential leadership tracks as you broaden your scope of practice. We highlight competitive compensation, including a bonus structure designed to recognize performance and commitment, along with housing assistance and flexible extension opportunities to align with your career goals. Our program provides robust, 24/7 support while you travel, ensuring you have round-the-clock access to guidance, resources, and problem-solving assistance wherever your assignments take you. In addition, you’ll benefit from the security of a structured travel package, with weekly pay in the range of $2,025 to $2,201, and the flexibility inherent to travel nursing—no fixed on-site location, and the chance to experience a range of healthcare environments across the country. Please note that hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and assignment specifics will be confirmed during the hiring process.
