Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

San Rafael, CA
Contracted
Marin Specialty Surgery Center, LLC
Mid Level
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Travel OR Registered Nurse in San Rafael, California, where your operating room expertise meets meaningful patient outcomes and collaborative care. In this focused assignment, you’ll support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub teams, delivering precise, compassionate care across a spectrum of procedures. Starting January 12, 2026, for a defined period of weeks, you’ll join a program designed to elevate your clinical acumen, broaden your OR repertoire, and strengthen your leadership in high-pressure environments. If you’re driven by hands-on practice, continuous learning, and the chance to make a tangible difference, this role was crafted with you in mind. You’ll benefit from structured onboarding, ongoing mentorship, and resources that prioritize your safety, wellbeing, and professional growth as you travel and care for patients across communities.

San Rafael sits in Marin County, a stone’s throw from the beauty of the Bay Area and the California coastline. Picture mornings overlooking the waterfront, afternoons amid towering redwoods in nearby parks, and evenings exploring diverse dining and cultural scenes. The region blends scenic tranquility with convenient access to San Francisco, wine country, and outdoor recreation that complements a busy clinical life. If you crave variety, the program also offers opportunities to work in different locations across the United States, enriching your experience with new teams, case mixes, and operational perspectives.

In this role you’ll own essential responsibilities that keep operating rooms safe and efficient. You’ll prepare the environment for a wide range of procedures, maintain strict sterile technique, perform accurate instrument counts, and support the surgical team from pre-op through immediate post-op recovery. You’ll monitor patient status, advocate for safety, and collaborate closely with surgeons and anesthesia providers to optimize outcomes. The position invites ongoing professional growth within the OR specialty—gaining exposure to diverse cases, refining scrub and circulating skills, and increasing your capacity for leadership and teamwork under pressure. Our program combines hands-on practice with formal opportunities for development, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration so you can advance while delivering excellent patient care.

Compensation reflects a competitive travel package: weekly pay between $2,508 and $2,603, with guaranteed hours of 24 per week. In addition to dependable compensation, you’ll often have access to a bonus structure to recognize performance and commitment, plus housing assistance to ease relocation and daily living during your assignment. Extension opportunities provide continuity for you and the facilities you support, enabling you to deepen professional relationships, contribute to improved patient outcomes, and continue growing in your practice. Comprehensive support is a defining feature of our program: 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, a dedicated national team ready to troubleshoot, answer questions, and coordinate logistics so you can focus on patient care and your career trajectory.

Our company values your growth and wellbeing. We are committed to empowering staff through clear career pathways, ongoing education, and a collaborative, supportive culture that respects your expertise and contributions. You’ll find an environment where your voice matters, your goals align with the latest evidence-based practice, and your development is a priority, not an afterthought.
