Salida, CO
Contracted
Heart of the Rockies Medical
Mid Level
Seize the opportunity to elevate your career as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care to families as they welcome new life in the scenic heart of Colorado. This focused assignment invites you to shape childbirth experiences, guide healthy pregnancies, and collaborate with skilled obstetric teams in Salida, a mountain town renowned for its warm community, access to outdoor adventure, and supportive hospital culture. Picture starting on 03/23/2026, bringing your L&D expertise to a setting where accuracy, empathy, and patient education matter with every shift. Beyond the delivery suite, you’ll discover Colorado’s breathtaking landscape—majestic peaks, clear rivers, and vibrant small towns—creating a backdrop that refreshes the spirit and deepens professional fulfillment. If you crave variety, there are opportunities to work at partner sites across the United States, expanding your clinical horizons while maintaining the continuity you value in your career.

Location benefits go beyond a gorgeous backdrop. Salida offers a welcoming community feel, reliable operations, and the chance to immerse yourself in a tight-knit team that prioritizes safe, patient‑centered care during every birth. The location blends the advantages of a smaller city with convenient access to larger urban centers, so you can enjoy weekend explorations in nearby mountain ranges, rivers for outdoor activities, and cultural events that enrich your personal and professional life. For those who relish the possibility of broader experiences, the program provides the flexibility to rotate to additional locations across the U.S., enabling you to refine your practice, gain exposure to diverse obstetric populations, and return with fresh perspectives that enhance your care delivery at home base. You’ll find a supportive infrastructure designed to help you thrive—from robust onboarding to ongoing clinical mentorship—so you can focus on what matters most: the patients and their families.

Role specifics and benefits form the core of this dynamic opportunity. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you’ll play a critical role in the full spectrum of perinatal care: triage and admission assessment, continuous fetal monitoring, managing labor progression, enabling safe analgesia and anesthesia coordination, facilitating cesarean births when indicated, and providing comprehensive postpartum and neonatal support. You’ll partner with obstetricians, midwives, nursing teams, lactation consultants, and pediatric colleagues to ensure smooth transitions for mothers and babies, safe delivery outcomes, and clear family education. The position invites professional growth within the specialty through exposure to high‑risk scenarios, quality improvement initiatives, and opportunities to pursue specialty certifications in perinatal nursing. We offer competitive benefits, including a contract bonus, housing assistance to offset living expenses, and the potential for contract extensions that align with your career goals. In addition, you’ll enjoy guaranteed hours of 36 per week and a weekly pay range of $2,711–$2,833, with predictable scheduling that supports work‑life balance. As you travel with the company, you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated team, ensuring you’re never alone whether you’re on a night shift, handling a challenging case, or navigating a new city. The program also emphasizes comprehensive orientation, ongoing clinical resources, and access to interdisciplinary case discussions that deepen your expertise and confidence in every delivery.

The company values you as a professional and a person. This organization is deeply committed to empowering its staff, offering clear pathways for career advancement, leadership development, and a supportive work environment. You’ll find mentors who listen, colleagues who collaborate, and a culture that recognizes the value of continuous learning. From onboarding through every subsequent assignment, there is an emphasis on safety, evidence‑based practice, and respectful, patient‑centered care. The structure is designed to honor your contributions, promote autonomy within best practice, and create a sense of belonging whether you’re in Salida or elsewhere on a temporary assignment. This is more than a job—it's a community that champions your growth and rewards your commitment to high‑quality obstetric care.

If you’re ready to apply, this is your invitation to join a company that values your expertise and is dedicated to your development.
