Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Templeton, CA
Contracted
Adventist - Twin Cities
Mid Level
Imagine leading with compassion, precision, and unwavering dedication as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This travel opportunity puts you in the heart of California’s Central Coast, where your expertise will guide families through one of life’s most transformative moments. In Templeton, California, you’ll find a welcoming community surrounded by rolling vineyards, gentle coastal breezes, and accessible outdoor adventures that make it easy to unwind after meaningful shifts. Templeton serves as a friendly home base with close proximity to Paso Robles wine country, pristine coastline drives, and a relaxed pace that complements your demanding, rewarding work. And for those drawn to exploring new horizons, this assignment opens doors to diverse hospital settings across the United States, enabling you to broaden clinical competencies while staying clinically sharp and professionally inspired.
Templeton offers a distinctive blend of small-town warmth and Central Coast vibrancy. The region’s mild climate supports year-round outdoor activities, from scenic hikes along coastal bluffs to wine-tasting excursions amid sun-kissed valleys. Living in Templeton means convenient access to the greater San Luis Obispo area, reputable schools, and an array of farm-to-table culinary experiences that celebrate local agriculture. The beauty of California’s coastline, forests, and mountains is never far away, inviting weekend adventures that replenish your energy for the next patient encounter. For an RN who thrives on variety, this role also provides the opportunity to experience multiple locations across the U.S., each with its own clinical nuances and patient populations, while benefiting from a structured support system designed to make travel seamless and rewarding.
In this Labor and Delivery role, you’ll deliver expert obstetric care as part of a collaborative team that prioritizes safety, evidenced-based practice, and patient-centered education. Core responsibilities include continuous fetal monitoring, labor assessment and management, medication administration, epidural and analgesia coordination, neonatal resuscitation readiness, postpartum care, lactation support, and discharge planning in partnership with obstetricians, midwives, and neonatal teams. You’ll participate in rooming-in and family education, contribute to perinatal quality initiatives, and mentor junior staff or float to related units when needed to maintain competencies. The position emphasizes growth: you’ll gain exposure to high-risk pregnancies, expand proficiency in obstetric emergencies, and pursue ongoing certifications and specialty training. The engagement comes with competitive benefits beyond base pay, including a signing bonus, housing assistance, and opportunities for extension that align with both personal and professional goals. You’ll also have the reassurance of comprehensive support, with 24/7 assistance available as you travel with the company, ensuring smooth onboarding, orientation, compliance, and day-to-day problem solving.
The compensation reflects the value you bring: a weekly pay range of $2,676 to $2,852, with the flexibility that faculties may adjust based on assignment location and shift patterns. While hours are not guaranteed, you’ll be assigned to shifts that reflect patient needs and facility demand, with clear communication about expected hours and potential call responsibilities. The arrangement is designed to maximize your earning potential while honoring work–life balance as much as a travel assignment allows. In addition to monetary rewards, you’ll receive robust support for housing, travel logistics, and integration into dynamic clinical teams. The extension opportunities are crafted to recognize outstanding performance, collaborative spirit, and continued commitment to professional development, so your next assignment could feel like a natural progression rather than a reset.
Our company values what you bring to the table: a commitment to empowering staff through mentorship, ongoing clinical education, leadership pathways, and a culture that prioritizes well-being, diversity, and psychological safety. You’ll join a community that promotes career advancement, recognizes expertise across specialties, and fosters a supportive environment where your voice matters. Whether you’re mentoring peers, pursuing advanced obstetric certifications, or shaping perinatal protocols, your contribution will be valued, and your growth path will be intentional and transparent. The leadership team is dedicated to transparent communication, equitable opportunities, and a sense of shared purpose that makes every assignment feel meaningful and sustainable.
Ready to elevate your impact in nurse-led, family-centered obstetric care? If you’re driven, adaptable, and excited to bring excellence to mothers and newborns across settings, apply now. This is your invitation to join a company that respects your expertise and champions your professional development, while delivering exceptional patient care in beautiful California and beyond. Begin a travel journey that honors your clinical mastery, expands your professional horizon, and supports your longest-term goals.
Please note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process. Start date is March 16, 2026, with a flexible weeks-long assignment and potential extensions based on staffing needs and demonstrated performance.
