In this role, your responsibilities are central to patient safety and operational excellence. You will perform decontamination, inspection, packaging, sterilization, and documentation of instrument sets, ensuring items meet exacting standards and regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, AAMI, OSHA). You’ll monitor sterilization cycles, maintain accurate traceability, and manage inventory to support OR readiness. You’ll collaborate with perioperative teams to anticipate instrument needs and respond quickly to changing schedules, while maintaining rigorous quality control and asepsis. The position supports professional growth within the Sterile Processing specialty through structured training, competency assessments, and opportunities to take on escalating responsibilities, including leadership pathways, cross-training in instrument repair or inventory optimization, and potential progression as a senior tech or supervisor if opportunities arise.
