In the OR, you’ll be an essential part of the surgical team—prepping the room, ensuring sterile technique, assisting surgeons, and monitoring patient status from anesthesia induction through emergence. You’ll coordinate patient flow, verify instrumentation, and uphold the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Your responsibilities include scrub and circulating duties, rapid response during emergencies, and meticulous postoperative handoff to PACU. The role is designed for ongoing professional growth within the surgical specialty: you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of specialties, refine your patient assessment skills, master complex equipment, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
