Embark on a rewarding journey as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Helena, Montana, where every patient encounter is an opportunity to restore independence, spark confidence, and witness resilience in action. In this travel assignment, your hands-on expertise will shape routines, adapt therapies, and empower individuals to reclaim daily life. The role is designed to challenge you, foster growth, and weave your professional passion into communities that value compassionate care. Alongside the clinical impact, you’ll enjoy the freedom of exploring diverse landscapes, from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to wide-open prairies and sunlit river valleys, each adding its own inspiration to your practice.

Montana’s beauty is more than a backdrop; it’s a source of renewal for clinicians who serve in rural, suburban, and urban settings. In Helena, you’ll experience a blend of historic charm and modern amenities, with easy access to hiking trails, scenic byways, and seasonal outdoor adventures. The state’s public lands, national forests, and prairie skylines create a natural compass for work-life balance, offering opportunities to decompress after a rewarding day. This assignment also offers the chance to be deployed across the U.S., broadening your professional horizon while maintaining the core of your OT practice.

Your responsibilities as an OTA are varied and impactful. You will assist in conducting patient assessments, contribute to treatment plans in collaboration with licensed therapists, implement therapeutic activities, monitor progress, and document outcomes with accuracy and timeliness. You’ll educate patients and families on adaptive equipment, safety strategies, and home programs that sustain gains after discharge. You will participate in care conferences, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and help maintain a safe, motivating environment across settings, from inpatient units to outpatient clinics and community-based programs. This role is an excellent path to deepen expertise in evaluation methods, sensory integration techniques, neurorehabilitation principles, and activity analysis tailored to diverse populations. You will have the chance to grow into senior OTA responsibilities, specialty tracks, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing continuing education that aligns with national certification standards.

Competitive compensation is a centerpiece of this opportunity. Weekly pay of $1,365 to $1,426 reflects the value you bring as a skilled OTA, with a guaranteed 36.0 hours per week. In addition to competitive wages, you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, housing assistance or a housing stipend, and options for contract extensions that recognize your reliability, adaptability, and outstanding patient outcomes. You’ll find that professional support extends beyond the clinical setting: our 24/7 traveler support team is at your side, ready to assist with housing, transportation, credentialing, scheduling, and any unexpected needs that arise while you’re on the road. The combination of generous benefits and reliable backing creates a workspace where you can focus on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

At the heart of our organization is a commitment to empowering staff. We believe in shaping careers through clear development pathways, access to mentorship, and a culture that values curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. Our approach is to partner with you, providing resources, autonomy, and recognition as you advance in your specialty, while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment where every clinician can thrive.
