Wellstar Cobb Hospital
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR) in Austell, Georgia, with enticing opportunities to serve across diverse facilities throughout the United States. This assignment begins January 26, 2026, and runs for multiple weeks with the potential for extension, allowing you to deepen your clinical expertise while delivering high‑quality patient care in fast‑paced IR suites. In this role you’ll guide patients through complex imaging‑guided procedures, monitor them through recovery, and collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and perioperative teams. Your contributions will directly influence patient outcomes and the efficiency of the IR process. And beyond work, Georgia’s landscape offers something for every mood—from the energy of Atlanta’s arts and dining scene to the historic charm of Savannah, the rugged beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and serene lakes and parks—providing beautiful places to explore during downtime and fueling your professional inspiration.

Location benefits: Austell sits in the vibrant greater Atlanta area, offering access to state‑of‑the‑art medical facilities, supportive hospital systems, and a patient population that challenges you to grow every shift. While you’ll be based in Austell, you’ll also have the opportunity to work at other sites across the U.S., gaining exposure to varied IR protocols, equipment, and multidisciplinary teams. The experience can broaden your clinical perspective, sharpen procedural expertise, and expand your professional network nationwide. The role includes housing assistance and relocation support to ensure a smooth transition, along with the flexibility to balance travel with personal life. The region’s mild winters, thriving food and cultural scenes, and easy access to regional natural attractions make Austell a compelling base for a meaningful travel nursing career. In addition, you’ll build resilience and adaptability by navigating different hospital cultures, electronic medical record systems, and scheduling patterns, all while enjoying the advantages of a nationwide network that prioritizes your safety and development.

Role specifics and benefits: As the IR RN, you’ll perform critical pre‑procedure assessments, establish reliable IV access, monitor vital signs, and assist physicians during angiography, embolization, stent placements, and other imaging‑guided interventions. You’ll ensure sterile technique, manage conscious sedation or monitored anesthesia care under supervision, and coordinate with nursing, radiology, and anesthesia teams to optimize patient safety. Post‑procedure care, patient education, and discharge planning will complete the patient journey. This role offers clear pathways for professional growth within interventional radiology, including cross‑training in vascular interventions, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. You’ll be supported by a comprehensive benefits package: a competitive weekly pay range of $2,288 to $2,351, with the potential for performance bonuses where applicable; housing assistance and relocation support; and extension opportunities to continue building your IR expertise across diverse settings. We provide robust onboarding and credentialing assistance, including hospital orientation, access to continuing education credits, and certification reimbursement where eligible. You’ll also receive travel support, license/credentialing coordination, and a dedicated 24/7 travel concierge ready to assist with scheduling changes, apartment arrangements, and on‑site needs. Please note that hours are not guaranteed and will be aligned with the facilities’ scheduling requirements; final compensation and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

We invest in ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership pathways so you can advance within the IR field while maintaining work‑life balance.
