Step into a mission-driven nursing role as a Registered Nurse in Corrections, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where your clinical expertise meets a profound opportunity to impact the lives of individuals who deserve compassionate, high-quality care within secure facilities. This corrections-focused assignment is designed for professionals who believe in dignity, safety, and evidence-based practice as the cornerstones of rehabilitation and public health. Beginning December 29, 2025, this weeks-long contract offers guaranteed 40 hours per week, with a competitive weekly pay range of 1,916 to 2,023, reflecting the value of your specialized skills and dedication to patient-centered care. As you step into this role, you’ll bring nursing excellence to a unique setting, collaborating closely with medical teams, security staff, social services, and facility leadership to deliver timely assessments, interventions, and education that support overall well-being and safer communities.
Pennsylvania is a state of contrast and beauty, and Philadelphia is a vibrant gateway to its many charms. Picture mornings starting with the promise of a fast-paced city rhythm, where world-class museums, diverse neighborhoods, and a renowned culinary scene invite exploration. From historic markets and waterfront parks to spring concerts and seasonal events, the region offers a rich tapestry of experiences outside the facility walls. For those who crave nature, quick getaways to the nearby countryside, the Pocono Mountains, or the scenic river valleys provide refreshing breaks between shifts. This assignment blends urban energy with accessible escape routes, so you can recharge and return to care with renewed focus. And for those who value broader horizons, the role also presents opportunities to work across various locations in the United States, expanding your professional network and expanding your clinical perspectives while maintaining the strong foundation you’ll build here in Pennsylvania.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of corrections health, delivering comprehensive, timely nursing care within correctional settings. Your responsibilities will include triage and clinical assessment, wound care, medication administration, chronic disease management, mental health support, routine screenings, preventive care, and escalation of urgent issues to the on-call physician. You’ll participate in treatment planning, document findings accurately, and ensure that evidence-based protocols guide every decision. You’ll also engage in health education for inmates and staff, promote vaccination initiatives where applicable, and contribute to infection control and safety measures that protect both patients and colleagues. The position offers a clear path for professional growth within the corrections specialty, including opportunities to assume charge nurse responsibilities, mentor junior staff, and pursue targeted training in areas such as trauma-informed care, addiction medicine, and population health management. Continued education allowances and access to clinical resources support your advancement while you deliver exceptional care.
You’ll benefit from a robust support structure designed to help you thrive. In addition to competitive compensation, the assignment includes a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation and living arrangements near your assignment site. Extension opportunities enable you to extend your impact beyond the initial weeks, and the potential for additional rotations or locations offers fresh clinical challenges and experiences. You’ll never travel alone on this journey—the company provides 24/7 support while you’re traveling and working, with a dedicated care coordination team and on-demand clinical consultants available to assist with any questions or urgent needs. This comprehensive support network ensures you can focus on clinical excellence and patient care with confidence.
The company’s values are embedded in daily practice: empowering staff to grow, recognizing the importance of a supportive work environment, and championing career advancement through structured development, mentorship, and ongoing education. You’ll join a culture that respects your expertise, invites your input, and partners with you to shape best practices in corrections nursing. The environment emphasizes teamwork, safety, integrity, and a patient-centered approach, ensuring that your contributions are valued and your professional trajectory is defined by your commitment and curiosity. You’ll have access to interdisciplinary collaboration, leadership support, and processes designed to recognize and reward high-quality care and initiative.
