And when you’re not in the OR, you’ll have the chance to explore Georgia’s rich tapestry, from historic neighborhoods to scenic mountains and coastal towns, earning meaningful experience while discovering the Peach State’s warmth and hospitality. Location Benefits: Working in Marietta places you in a thriving metro-suburban hub with access to some of Georgia’s best hospitals, reputable surgical teams, and a home base that’s easy to reach from the city’s cultural amenities, outdoor spaces, and dining options. Marietta’s approachable pace, tree-lined streets, and close proximity to Atlanta mean you can enjoy weekday OR excellence and still dive into weekend adventures. In addition, this travel role offers the flexibility to work at facilities across the U.S., broadening your exposure to a wide range of procedures, equipment, and team dynamics. You’ll experience different hospital cultures, surgical suites, and patient populations, all while earning competitive compensation and building a versatile resume. Georgia’s natural beauty, welcoming communities, and vibrant urban centers provide ample opportunities to recharge after a busy day in the OR.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Surgical Tech in this traveling placement, you’ll assist circulating nurses and surgeons by preparing the sterile field, setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies, and helping maintain strict aseptic technique throughout each case. You’ll assist with instrument counts, specimen handling, and patient positioning, while monitoring OR safety, ensuring immediate readiness for emergency scenarios, and supporting room turnover between cases. You’ll have the chance to work across diverse specialties, from general to specialized procedures, expanding your repertoire and sharpening your troubleshooting under pressure. The package features competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,126 to $1,200, with the potential for bonuses, housing assistance, and extension opportunities based on facility needs and performance. Housing support helps you secure comfortable accommodations, and extension opportunities enable you to continue contributing at facilities where you’ve built rapport and demonstrated reliability. A dedicated travel coordinator and 24/7 support team stay by your side, providing real-time assistance, schedule adjustments, and resources as you transition between assignments. Guaranteed hours for this role are not guaranteed; hours can vary with contract needs, facility calendars, and patient volume, so you’ll want to plan with flexibility in mind.
