Role specifics and benefits: As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, you’ll provide essential, hands-on nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, focusing on the comfort, safety, and dignity of residents. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing routine assessments and vital sign monitoring, wound care and dressing changes, personal care assistance, mobility support, and therapeutic communication to ease anxiety and promote trust. You’ll help implement and update individualized care plans, document observations accurately, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold infection control and safety protocols. The role supports professional growth through ongoing training, mentorship, and exposure to comprehensive long-term care operations, including memory care considerations, complex chronic conditions, and end-of-life care discussions when appropriate.
