Travel Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Job

Utica, NY
Contracted
Mohawk Valley - Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (RNC)-AN-0074
Mid Level
Step into the essential role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utica, New York, where compassionate care meets opportunity. As a traveling LPN, you’ll impact patients, families, and care teams across diverse settings—acute care, long-term facilities, and community clinics alike—delivering patient-centered care that supports healing, dignity, and independence. You’ll translate assessment findings into timely interventions, administer medications, support daily living activities, and educate patients on wellness and self-management. Each shift is a chance to build trust, advocate for patients, and sharpen your clinical judgment in a dynamic, team-based environment. Your assignment begins on 03/23/2026, with a weeks-long contract designed to enable growth, exposure, and momentum in your practice. While guaranteed hours aren’t promised, the role opens doors to a spectrum of facilities and communities, letting you broaden your skill set while exploring everything upstate New York and beyond has to offer. And beyond the care you provide, you’ll discover the state’s beauty—from charming river towns to the Adirondack foothills—and the welcoming spirit that makes Utica a place you’ll be proud to call home.

Utica sits in upstate New York’s Mohawk Valley, offering a welcoming community atmosphere, high-quality facilities, and easy access to outdoor recreation and cultural richness. Working here, you’ll benefit from supportive teams, modern equipment, and the chance to collaborate with partner sites across the U.S., gaining exposure to different patient populations and care models. The area blends small-town charm with cultural amenities—museums, festivals, diners, and nearby natural beauty—that make weekend getaways refreshing. For traveling clinicians, the role provides flexibility to extend opportunities to other locations, diversifying your resume while keeping a strong base in a recognizable, vibrant New York setting.

As a traveling LPN, you’ll perform essential nursing duties to support patient well-being: direct patient care under supervision, focused assessments, vitals monitoring, administration of medications and treatments, help with activities of daily living, and precise documentation of care plans. You’ll collaborate with RNs, physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and rehab teams to support safe transitions and continuity of care. There are growth opportunities in geriatrics, medical-surgical, long-term care, and post-acute rehab settings, with pathways to leadership, mentorship, or specialty involvement as you gain diverse experiences. Compensation includes a weekly pay range of $1,345 to $1,439, with the potential for a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation. Extension opportunities are available when performance aligns with facility needs, enabling longer assignments and deeper team connections. Comprehensive support is available 24/7 as you travel, including a dedicated staffing coordinator, streamlined onboarding, and access to continuing education resources. You’ll operate within a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and patient outcomes, while offering clear pathways to expand responsibilities and advance within the company’s network. This is your chance to broaden clinical skills, refine care plans, and demonstrate adaptability across varied clinical environments.

Our values center on empowering staff to own their growth and thrive in a supportive, collaborative climate. We invest in ongoing professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to advance into leadership, education, or clinical specialist roles. You’ll join a community where teamwork, respect, and open communication are the baseline, and where your contributions are acknowledged and rewarded. The company is committed to work-life balance and a culture that respects diverse backgrounds, ensuring every clinician can deliver high-quality care while sustaining personal well-being.
